Great vibes, cozy atmosphere, tasty Mediterranean food, and very nice staff! If you are in Castro, you must try this place! Highly recommended it!
I had a dinner with my friend at this restaurant and it appeared to be very cosy place with soft lighting, modern interior and friendly service. Even though it’s pretty small we were able to get a table without having to wait.
The menu has a lot of interesting items, but we both decided to try the moussaka. The presentation was on point and the portion was generous. The vegetarian moussaka was delicious, the layers of eggplant, zucchini, potatoes and cheese were all perfectly cooked. We were so full that we didn't have room for dessert, but the cocktails were excellent. My friend had the Gloam, which is a strawberry and brut based cocktail that wasn't too sweet, and I had the Whipple, which is a gin based cocktail with lemon bitters and cherry.
Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy Mediterranean food in the Castro.
The Lark is a beautiful restaurant with a great staff! The grilled chicken and meats are delicious as well as the beyti. Can’t go wrong with any apps and cocktails here! Head Chef Coskun is so kind too!
Wonderful and authentic Greek food in a beautiful setting. Service was excellent.
Quality healthy food and a quiet cozy environment!
My partner and I had the moussaka, meatballs, and Rocca salad, all of which were delicious. The portions were generous enough that we were very full after sharing these plates between the two of us. My partner ordered a NA Gloam, which was very sweet but nice. I had a chilled glass of cab that I enjoyed as well. The service was great and the atmosphere was very cozy. We will definitely be back!
Cozy restaurant with great service, good food, nice ambiance. Great for a date night.

Wow, what a great new addition. Just when you thought there couldn't be any other twist on a tapas joint, Lark breaks through and delivers. Come check this place out before word gets out. We started with the Pistachio Goat Cheese with roasted Oregon hazelnut, dried fig, caramelized onions and honey. Shazam. This was one of the best things I've ever tasted. The pistachio crumbles encrust the molten goat cheese and the trimmings just put this dish on the moon, unbelievable. The greek Salad with feta cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, sumac, fresh oregano and greek olives, dressed in olive oil and squeezed fresh lemon was very good but not on the same plane as the pistachio goat cheese. The feta was hella fresh though, really tasty. There were burly dudes sitting next to us and they all had the burger. asked if it was as good as described and they all said yes without a doubt. had to try it. And it was pretty damn good: house-ground lamb, burrata and oregano, house aioli spread served with fries. A new burger on the scene, y'all. Not on Marlowe level but a contender. My wife's gnocchi filled with butternut squash and finished with roasted Oregon hazelnut, dried fig and sage butter sauce was good but not great. It was just a bit dry and needed some more butter/oil, that's all. Great service as well, friendly and fast. Really can't wait to return here. July 2015.
Amazing experience, the chef even came out to chat with us.
Excellent meal, across the board. The octopus appetizer was stellar. Honestly, I would consider just ordering a few of them as my entire dinner! The Keftedes and Sultani were both super tasty. One of them is described as "spicy", but they really just mean flavorful. But they were both deliciously rich, moist, and packed with flavor. Salted caramel gelato was a stroooong finish... All good.
Honestly, one of my favorite Greek dining experiences!
