I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast and brunch, and it's a delightful spot. The star of the brunch was undeniably the homemade fries – perfectly crispy and flavorful. However, the chocolate chip pancake left me wanting more chocolate; it could benefit from an extra dose. Despite requesting chocolate sauce, it was missing. On the bright side, the view from the restaurant is spectacular, offering a scenic panorama of the Golden Gate and Alcatraz prison. Overall, a nice place with some delicious highlights, though improvements in the chocolate department would make it even better.
I wanted breakfast with a view, and this place was exactly that!
I had the French toast with caramelized banana & pecans - it was super tasty! I'd have loved a few more banana pieces but otherwise loved this dish.
The view was spectacular, with Alcatraz, the docks and beyond visible from the seating outside.
The staff were attentive and pleasant.
I'd have loved more coffee options (espresso with alternative milks) but the coffee did me just fine!
A great breakfast spot!
My wife and I ate here on our first day in San Francisco and I enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day by myself while she was in a conference. The food, atmosphere, and the view were wonderful and the Bloody Mary was the best I’ve ever had (both days). Absolutely loved the place and will return when back in San Francisco!
Eagle Cafe was simply wonderful. I was there for breakfast and I can honestly say, it made my day. Nothing like a delicious meal to start the day. I had the banana nut Pan Cakes and if I could, I would go back today for a 2nd Helping:) It was great. I give Eagle Cafe two thumbs up.
1. Good and affordable food.
2. Can choose to upgrade fries for the garlic fries at additional USD1.50.
3. Decent view although quite far from the pier.
4. Open till 3pm.
Our kid says the French toast was great, but they only gave him one bacon, one, really?!
I had the French toast with bananas and pecans and while good it was super super sweet, too sweet, and I love dessert style breakfast items. The eggs and bacon were fine. Everything was fine, just not the absolute best experience in general but plenty sufficient with just a little to improve on.
First visit: 3/5 We had breakfast prior to our Alcatraz cruise. The restaurant wasn’t terribly busy but they just couldn’t get it together. We got seated immediately but waited forever to have anyone take the order. We both had breakfast burritos. I also had to hunt down my own silverware as we had received our food long before silverware. My husband had the bacon and I had the chorizo one. My husband thought his was very bland. I liked mine but it was spicier than expected.
Second cost: 5/5. We went back for breakfast sandwiches. The service was spot on and the food was delicious. Overall 4/5
I stopped by Eagle Cafe for breakfast. I had the burrito with bacon, egg, cheese and salsa. It was wonderful! The potatoes were inspired; so flavorful and crispy and piping hot. I was sorry I did not have a fridge to take my leftovers to, because it was so much food and so delicious!! Thanks again
Lovely place to go. Staff friendly but not much to eat if you have an egg allergy but they do their best to help you.
This restaurant has indoor and outdoor sittings.
Good and very quick service. The breakfast served was super delicious.
Since I was sitting outdoor the view was great .
Do see the pics.
