Plouf - San Francisco - Photo album

Great happy hour! Plouf mussels are a must! Spicy, creamy and very garlic y! $1 fresh raw oysters. Duck liver pate was slightly sweet but the accoutrements offset it nicely. Shaved brussel sprouts are ok. Glasses of wine has several choices ($8-10). Service was friendly and attentive. Not crowded on
Came here to celebrate my mom's bday. We made a reservation for 7pm. The actual place was hidden in an alley behind Kearny St. It was actually really big inside and a lot of outdoor seating. It was pretty empty for a Saturday evening. We sat in one of the booths, that could definitely fit a lot of p
Great environment down in Belden Place - great, if not overpriced, food. Had the hangar steak, coq au vin, and Caesar salad. The patio seating really makes the environment feel really special. Also great happy hour specials!
Great spot for Happy Hour oysters!!! So plump and tasty. Cocktails were well made and tasty. Service was great to. I will definitely stop by again and try some other items in the menu. The Mussels and other food coming g out the kit when looked and smelled amazing
Lovely authentic french cuisine and nice outdoor seating. Listen to your server before you order! Delicious desserts and classic European espresso to accompany it.
So so so good. In a town known for its seafood, Plouf stands above the tide in an especially unique way. The variety of preparations for mussels may seem daunting, but I would recommend merely picking one with the knowledge right now that it will be good, so much so that you will return and try anot
Good crabcakes with a sufficient amount of crabmeat. But my favorite dish is their mussels! They're served in a cast iron bowl with marvelous broth. Soak a piece of baguette in the broth and enjoy it with mussels and a glass of white wine!
Best seafood experience we had so far. We can can recommend it to everyone who appreciates yummy seafood. We had plouf mussels and Rockefeller Oysters as well as the Hawaiian butter fish and crab cakes accompanied by a glass of sancere !
Got the salmon club sandwich which was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Service was pretty fast, and everyone was very friendly. I will definitely cum back again!
Plouf treated me well on my recent trip to SFO. Kronenbourg 1664 on draft that brings back memories of the Left Bank and food that's to die for. I recommend the mussels (pictured) and ask for extra bread. The broth should not be under-utilized, ever. Go.
Date night with my partner. Located in a side Alley of small restaurants and bars. Missed happy hour but was told later oysters are always a buck if you eat them at the bar. Nice outdoor covered eating area that has heater as it can cool down quickly in the evening. Had a great seafood meal. Calamar
Great happy hour! Loved the calamari.
Very delicious seafood with a great atmosphere. Right on the historic alley of Belden Place, this is definitely up there as my favorite French cuisine in the city. Their shrimp grits is amazing, and the burger is no joke either! Eric, the owner will make you feel like home with his warm restaurants
5 stars! What a lovely restaurant. Beautiful location in an alleyway with outdoor seating. Lots of heaters so we weren’t chilly. Great ambience. Extremely friendly and kind staff. Our large dog sat outside with us and they gave him water. Food was wonderful. Lychee martini was delicious and bartende
WOW!!! Superb service, stellar food! Felt quite similar to a French bistro. We enjoyed the Coconut mussels, Caesar salad & brussel sprouts. Paired to a beautiful Sancerre white wine. We stumbled across thus place and the staff was warm and delightful to the two of us. DEFINITELY will be back!
