Comstock Saloon - San Francisco - Photo album

I did not try any food, but went with off menu classics like a Manhattan, and asked for a floral but not sweet gin cocktail and was given the Pegu Club, along with some great background of the drinks origin. Everything you'd want out of a small corner saloon with 6ish bars seats and 5 or so tables.
It’s rare to be so impressed by cocktails and this was definitely the case for me and my friends. This is a fantastic space to spend time sipping cocktails, especially with great live music as we had last Friday. Every time I come here, as soon as I leave I start planning to go back.
We stumble upon this classic looking bar while strolling along North Beach / Chinatown. And now it becomes our favorite bar. The bartender Kent is a super skillful mixologist. Tell him what you feel like, and he will make you a delicious drink that is both surprising and delightful. The food was a
Just randomly walked by and decided to give it a try and it's awesome. Most of the stars goes to our bartender Kent, now he's my favorite bartender in San Francisco. We actually ordered some cocktails not on the menu, instead of giving us the most easy Margarita, Kent actually made us 3 different ki
Definitely has that old time saloon feel to it which I quite enjoyed. I tried a classic off their menu and was bummed to get a cocktail on draft. Although lovely in flavor and aroma, I ended up with a drink that was limp and disappointing in texture. I will say, just watching the bartenders, you ca
I read a lot of reviews about thebplace before deciding to go. But because we stumbled into this place and we were told they had jazz we did go back the next day. We had an amazing time between 6 and 8 pm it was busy with young people which always have to be loud. After they left and the jazz starte
Fave bar in San Francisco¡ Again for the second time and I'm so glad to see that made it through the pandemia. The service continues being excellent, the drinks super well prepared and they had a free delicious soup free for two drinks. Bartender's are super nice. The place continues to be the same
Awesome service, great drinks, and enjoyable live music. Staff is super friendly and bartenders make delicious cocktails.
A cool cozy place to grab a drink. The bar is the place to be at. The Boothy (bourbon, sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, and bubbly) was my Cocktail choice of the night. What's interesting is that they have a rare bottle list that they will sell (but the prices are a bit steep in my opinion). Ove
Love to see the band gaocho on Friday nights. Even though it's not the best venue for live music as they are up on a balcony almost impossible to see and the crowd is loud as the band is kinda background but killer jazz acoustic guitar usually 3-4 piece. Get play several times a week in more band ce
Great ambiance with a speak-easy inspired decor. It offers ample space for group conversations while enjoying live music. The jazz band performs upstairs, and seating is downstairs, providing a pleasant backdrop, although sight and sound might be slightly challenging.
This is an extremely moody place and about as specifically true to at least this reviewer's imagined belief to an Old Fashioned saloon. At least the fully gentrified kind. Both the affect and handiwork are top-notch. Incredible attention to detail. Have the oysters and a sazerac and call it dinner.
It’s get warm when the corers come in, but the service can’t be beat. Exceptional drinks and a fun spot to hear live music. Great place to unwind with friends and have a drink. Great selection of non-alcoholic cocktails too.
Nice space, speak-easy decor. Spacious enough to chat with a group, but also hear live music. The jazz band plays upstairs, and seating is downstairs, so it’s a bit difficult to see and hear, but it’s nice background music.
Wide open space, comfortable decor. Best thing is cocktails will be made to your preferences, with the added benefit of historical context. If you get the chance ask about emperor Norton the first.
I've always walked by this bar/restaurant but never went in. It's always crowded after work. Came here for lunch on Thanksgiving weekend. It wasn't crowded. They ran out of oysters the night before. The fries were crispy and came with homemade ranch. I didn't want and eggy meal so I ordered tre
Had our holiday party here for work and the service, food and cocktails were top notch so needed to come back for a full meal. Came in for brunch on a Sunday (no wait as we missed the first round of seatings). Ordered the amazingly delicious but odd hollandaise focaccia pork bun with poached egg. So
Pop in and sit at the bar for savory shareables and refreshing cocktails 🤝 impressive bartending and delicious bites brings Comstock to my list of recommended spots in SF! Cheers!
