We like to sit at the bar and watch the pizza and other brick oven delights be prepared and finished. Delightful!
great food even better service
someone recommended Pane e Vino the first night we were in SF. We came back twice after that. And the desserts were delicious enough to tempt you even if you were filled. Our mistake was sitting at the bar and talking to the chef....made me want to try it all
Excellent and well worth the value. Ambiance and decore are warm and welcoming. People who give less than 5 stars don't know what incredible Italian food is! A true hidden gem in San Fran! I am already looking forward to my next meal.
Delicious dinner and wonderful staff. Lovely atmosphere, authentic Italian menu and meals. The salmon was delicious and pizza & pasta great too!
I often take out of town guests ro Pane E Vino and they are always delighted. The food is wonderful plus there is a charming covered patio in back for an outdoor atmosphere -- with heaters of course.
Food was pretty good - I had a Rabbit dish which was quite tough and over cooked. Bread was very good. Pizza was generously sized.
A truly amazing restaurant for Italian food and wine lovers on a consistent basis in SF! Fun being there with the great Italian producers imported by #VinityWineCompany after the annual #TreBicchieri gathering too!
Excellent restaurant. The pizza was one of the best I ever tasted. Nice atmosphere and service. Waiting to come back again.
Best Italian food ever. Good friendly staff.
First time we could eat indoors in a year. Four of us wonderfully welcomed by Carlos, Fabio and the rest of a terrific staff. The plates were delicious. We did a lot of splitting and sharing. The wine chosen by Fabio was perfect. I am so glad they survived. Service, food and wines were each special and five star.
Excellent pasta, and friendly staff. A little pricey, but worth the visit
We really enjoy Pane e Vino. The food is always fantastic. Great family atmosphere and polite table service. The catch, of course, is get a reservation. They are generally packed, so a reservation is the only guarantee for a table. If you don't have a reservation, go earlier rather than later in the evening. Their pasta is delicious. Order a glass of wine and enjoy a relaxing, and tasty, evening.
Love this place. Great service and a solid menu. The staff are straight from Italy. The feel is NY style with the close seating. Pizzas are great. I've had fish, pasta, and steaks. Tiramisu was amazing. If you're looking for Italian make this the place you choose.
I moved back to SF a few months ago after a 30 year absence, and am finding new favorite restaurants. We were looking for a nice meal after work and decided to drive up Union street and see what we could find. We passed Pane e Vino, and there was a good crowd for a weeknight, so we decided to take chance. We are so happy we did. We have been there three times now, and everything we have ordered was perfect. The service is always friendly and accommodating. The dining room is a bit crowded, but full of life. On our last visit, we found there is a patio out back that is more to our liking. It feels like Italy, it tastes like Italy - dolce far niente!
Lovely casual restaurant
I was on holiday with my partner. I am a big fun of Italian food. pretty sure I have quite high expectation. food was lovely. especially the mozzarella cheese on pizza. tasted proper. strongly recommended!!
