Ryoko's Japanese Restaurant & Bar - San Francisco - Photo album

My last dinner in SF before flying out tomorrow morning. We were looking for good food and decided on Ryoko’s after doing some searches. It was a good decision! Had the rainbow row and chicken karage and the amount was just right. Both dishes are excellent.
Ryoko Japanese Restaurant is a hidden gem when it comes to sushi dining. From the moment you step in, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly transports you to Japan. The menu offers a wide variety of sushi options, each one more delicious than the last. The sushi at Ryok
Awesome sushi spot! The cocktail list was so fun and delicious. The sushi rolls were fresh and they were decently sized. We also got our food super fast. This place definitely feels like a hole in the wall which was so cool. I can’t wait to come back!
Loved my experience, definitely hope to be back! I know "sushi dive" may not appeal to everyone, but the food was amazing, service outstanding and I adore the atmosphere. Had the Tahoe roll with Asahi and edamame. Anywhere I can get tuna and Dr. Dre like that, I'm a big fan
Ask them to make a sashimi dinner for you. It was awesome. They tell you what to eat, how to eat and in what order with or without soy sauce. Delicious! Friendly, fast service.
When you love sushi and eat it all the time pretty much wherever you travel...this place exceeded my expectations for a fabulous San Francisco sushi restaurant. I had the Chirashi and it did not disappoint! Chef's choice and it was far more than the usual 5 sashimi's that are normally served. Kudos
Highly recommend! A friend of mine posted a reel of this place on Instagram, and I saved it for my next trip to SF. I went when they opened at 6 and it’s down the stairs in a basement. The music was a lot of throwback hip-hop which was pretty cool! Had a few items - hot tuna roll, 49ers roll, salmon
This place was so good!! Get the fire rice! We also had wonton soup and a beef dish. So much food!! We way over ordered for 2 but we did some damage!
The food was absolutely delicious. The waitress was fun and attentive. She made suggestions on dishes and the best ways to eat them as well as suggestions on new drinks which were delicious. The restaurant was darker and had a more intimate feel to it. My only criticism is they do not have the
Great underground restaurant. Came here for soft shell crab, which doesn't seem to be common in the city. Did not disappoint! Also got chicken karaage that was incredibly juicy and good. Rolls were solid, although I'm not a sushi connisour so can't say how they are in comparison to other places. Th
Great and tasty food!!! The portions are a little big but nothing too crazy.. the mochi was delicious!!!!!!!! The service was quite fast. Our servers were rude and kind of rushing us through our meal but overall nothing too bad
Their sashimi and Nigiri sushi are amazing for the price that they charged. Don't miss it. It open for dinner only.
Nice underground sushi place with lovely ambience for date or or a dinner with a friend. It could get packed at night but if you come before 7 you’ll be to get a table and food comes fast enough. I find their menu a bit confusing, the rolls division into 3 columns is not too clear, so it takes some
Really fresh and tasty sushi, and good value too. The soft shell crab and the octopus appetisers were so good I’d say they’re a must. We tried a few rolls and they were all amazing, probably my favourite was the salmon skin one. Dessert was interesting, but too sweet for me. Service was good and fai
Sushi is very fresh. Tahoe roll is very creamy and smooth. Rainbow roll with real crab meat is really tasty! Miso soup was great too!
Cozy, well-done basement sushi shop, excellent for late-night bites. Hearty miso. Eclectic salad of the day. Harmonious sushi rolls, such as the asparagus and smoked salmon. The Pokemon Roll was a favorite. Look for the chef's special kama (extra fatty salmon or tuna jaw/cheek/gills.
We went with three delicious rolls, Big Mama, The Spicy Golden Gate, and the Checkerboard! Started with a hot sake, miso soup, and seaweed salad. Each was as good as the other. Really cool and loud atmosphere and excellent quick service. Lightning speed!
