We showed up for dinner without reservations on a Saturday night at 5:30 during Fleet Week. We were told the wait would be an hour and 10 minutes. Three minutes later two spots opened at the bar, so we dined there. Frances was our bartender and he was fantastic. So personable and attentive despit
Had an amazing weekend dinner for a birthday celebration here. The food and atmosphere was fantastic. The seafood was FRESH given it was basically a farm to table meal. Had yummy mussels, oyster shooters, and a fried combo to taste all the different flavors of the bay! The drinks were curious and so
Had a meal here whilst visiting San Francisco as we were told ‘it’s where the locals eat’. The location isn’t very scenic, it’s nestled down a road surrounded by industrial space for the fishing industry on the docks. Inside it’s rustic with wood panelling but surprisingly large. The waiters are gen
We heard Sausalito was a place to visit. Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge we entered into Sausalito and it was very scenic unlike anything I’ve seen in North America. The atmosphere was as like in Europe and we decided to try this restaurant as highly recommended by others.
I gotta admit we got the
Classy. What a great restaurant in such a special location. This is a real treasure. We had a great dinner spread out over a couple hours.
Drinks were good. Clam chowder was excellent. I had the sea bass. My wife had scallops and shrimp. And for dessert, we shared the 7-layer cake — that was someth
I come from a city in Australia which is renowned for the best fresh seafood locally so I tend to judge seafood restaurants quite harshly. I have had seafood in several states in the USA but I must say that Scoma's knocked it out of the park. The best clam chowder, my wife's crab 🦀 salad was delu
Our first night in San Francisco, we wanted to be spoiled and have some fresh fish, Scoma's delivered on both counts. Hostess was sweet and got us in rather quickly and our server Han was energetic and knowledgeable about menu. Han made some excellent recommendations and confirmed our selections as
Limited menu but the food is amazing! Everything including the drinks were done to perfection. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting San Francisco.
Scoma’s was fabulous!! The wine we chose was excellent. We had the fried anchovies, beet salad, crab cake, wild black cod & pasta diplomatica. Everything was excellent. Service was fast, attentive & very helpful. We’re here 3 more days & I wont be surprised if we return.
Best cioppino in town!..I crave the dish to be honest, so eating it today was heavenly. This place is old-school cool from the impeccable wait staff to the ambience, music and decor. Go there to appreciate every detail, flavor and the fact that they have their own fleet of fishermen, their own fish-
We love Scoma- the seafood is excellent and the service is top notch. We had the mixed Grill and the shellfish Seafood Sauté. Each was amazing. If you like shellfish- you can’t go wrong with the Sauté - if chunks of crab, shrimp and scallop in a wonderful light sauce. For the fish lovers, the mixed
This restaurant is a must for me when in San Francisco. I have been frequenting this solid seafood restaurant for over 40 years. It’s a must and normally I get the Dungeness crab cocktail with Louie sauce and the Cioppino. It’s one of the cities best. Great servers, Gus is one of my favorites there
You feel the age and you pay the reputation. The seafood products were terrific (best shrimps I've eaten for a long time), but the cooking was basic, for instance shrimp salads are...a few shrimps on top of a raw supermarket-like lettuce.
The ☆BEST☆ wild & fresh seafood in San Francisco, paired with top-shelf pasta, salad, bread, wines and cocktails - the 1965 vibe is so strong you get fresh-grated Parmesan on it - And ask for the Tiramisu for dessert with an espresso! Enjoy your meal, and the view on the water - need more bread? Jus
Both dishes we tried were great! All the seafood was cooked just right.
The only regret we had was that we couldn't try more dishes and sweets here as we were too full from all day eating in SF.
Overall very fresh seafood. We ordered a variety of dishes and we're pleased with all of them. We had the dungeness crab, shrimp cocktail, cioppino, clam chowder and heirloom tomato salad.
Wonderful food and old seafood house experience. Hidden gem in the wharf! If you have time to go, I highly recommend it! Had the king salmon, and it was cooked to perfection! The harbor views complete the setting nicely! 👌
