Food comes out super fast every time I went here. The clams are one of their specialty. I highly recommend it for seafood lovers like me. It's super delicious and flavorful. Their bun bo hue is also really good too! Probably the best in SD.
This is THE best bun bo hue I've ever eaten. Truly a hole in a wall hidden gem. The broth is so flavorful and the aromatics are intense. I've seen people bring pots for takeout...
Excellent Bun Bo Hue! The best I've found in San Diego and Orange counties. My wife and I now always get the large Bun Bo Hue, so she can have the leftovers again the next day for lunch. Update: Got two regular Bun Bo Hue. The quality, taste were excellent, and portion size was fair. Service is very fast, so this restaurant is a good choice if you have limited time for your meal. Please remember that they accept CASH ONLY. Prices have increased about 20%, but the quality and portions remain the same.
I can't describe how incredible the taste, service, and price are. If I could give you 10 stars I would. The sweet garlic and jalapeno wings are a special for catering trays and if you didn't know, now you do. Thank you for making my day!
Wonderful, delicious and reasonably priced authentic Vietnamese food. Making me miss the cuisine of Central Vietnam.
We just moved here from the east coast have been dying to find a mom and pop, hole in the wall Vietnamese spot. Well we found it thanks to our friends. We ordered a third of the menu and were immediately asked to move to the center table. Nice preemptive move on their part because we ended up using two tables anyways. I would say that the Bun Bo Hue was the best. Followed by a tie between the chao long and mi Quang. The bun rieu was my least fav. All the appetizers were good but the fried clams stood out a clear winner. I heard that a lot of people don’t go to this establishment because it’s on the corner and kind of hidden. It’s definitely a hidden a San Diego gem. Don’t let appearances fool you. Get beyond the cover of the cook book if you will and you might find the best dishes waiting for you.
Small restaurant. Friendly services. This place is known for beef noodle soup (bun bo hue). I had tried this noodle soup from many different places from Sac, SF, and San Jose, and this one is very good because of strong lemongrass aroma.
Perfect hole in the wall spot for some authentic bun bo hue and bun rieu among other things. This place only takes cash (I did see an atm machine by the door). The bbh has a more fragrant and herby/lemongrass feel to it, which I really enjoyed. The chicken wings come in a large order... just fyi. The egg rolls were also tasty and crispy. A cool place to check out if you like bbh and bun rieu.
