Great crawfish and shrimp. The steak and eggs are great too. They also have a nice variety of Vietnamese dishes to choose from.
The $4 dollar craft beer specials made my day!

Of all the places in San Diego offering this type of fare, R&B definitely has the best prices and variety. The quality is good (not amazingly great), and the prices are even better. You can’t beat their prices for seafood and especially the beers ($4 drafts of fat tire, sculpin, blue moon, etc.).
Definitely recommend getting the clams. It’s very unique to this restaurant as other Vietnamese Cajun foods strictly serve shrimp, crawfish, and crab.

The happy hour is great! What really stood out was the service how they greeted you with a smile and showed enthusiasm about menu items. All in all anyone that serves fresh crawfish is 5 star in my book!

There's something to be said about great service can make even a not so good meal taste better. For me personally, this is the only place for fresh food and incredible service. I definitely give 6 stars for P&B Crawfish Lounge. I strongly recommend go check this place, and take me for coffee to reward me later then.

TRIED TO SELL FROZEN CRAWFISH OFF AS LIVE AND FRESH ONES!!!
So my wife and I went to San Diego for a weekend and wanted to try something new. The reviews of this place on google were excellent so decided to try it. We called ahead to ask if they had LIVE crawfish and they confirmed over the phone that they did and it was 13.99/lb. It was rare since all the restaurant in Orange County didn't have any live ones this season. So we accepted paying more for live ones this season. We ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, 1 lbs of clams, an order of quail, and an order of scallops. We confirmed with them that we wanted live crawfish and not frozen ones. When the food came out, the first bite of the crawfish made me very very disappointed. I knew right away it was frozen. We ate a few more just to make sure and they all were frozen. I can tell as i eat crawfish a lot and frozen ones has a certain texture and taste to it that is very strong. It also just taste really more like eating rubber. I asked the server if these were truly live crawfish since it tasted frozen to me to give the restaurant a chance to correct the error in case he put down the wrong order. He told me the crawfish is live, but since it's not in season, it just doesn't taste as good. They also did charge me for Live crawfish on the receipt. He said that many others had complaint about the same thing.
This is what I call a quick cop out that will destroy a business. Just be honest and tell us you are serving frozen crawfish instead of charging a few bucks extra per pound and lose out on future visits and customers. I can bet you anything that what we ate were frozen and not even the quality frozen crawfish. I have had better quality frozen crawfish at boiling crab and very bad ones at other places, so I can tell. I even cook my own crawfish (frozen and fresh) at home so I know exactly when they are fresh or not.
Now the clams were ok, but over cooked so they shrank down quite a bit. The scallops were also frozen so they went very heavy on the garlic to mask the taste, which entirely destroyed the dish. It was $15 bucks for 6 small scallops. We asked for some kind of sauce to boost the flavor since the scallop didn't have any taste at all and felt like we were just eating old garlic. The server offered us fish sauce, which also just didn't do much at all since the sauce also was bad. The quails were acceptable, but we had better.
Overall, we paid a little more than $70 for 2 people for very bad food. It's an experience that we have not had in a long time and relied on reviews to avoid, but we still got scammed this time. We don't mind paying a little extra when the food is good, but this place left a sour taste in our mouth due to the bad food and business ethics.

Seems like it has a good menu, I have not tried everything but I have tried the crawfish and shrimp bag with rb sauce. Although I prefer the flavor of crab hut more this is a good alternative , it's slightly cheaper. I like the spring roll even though its just a basic side, but their peanut sauce is sooooo good , I usually do not like the sauce that comes with the but I guess its just the right ratio of ingredients that make me like it and it has a few drops of chili sauce in it too. I'm pretty confident the rest of the food is good too and I will be trying more stuff in the future. The only thing that's off about this place is someone keeps hitting skip on the playlist ....its really weird to keep hearing music getting skipped. The staff seem average , not super inviting but not rude either....

OMG freaking amazing! We have been to many restaurants like this. Some that have been on tv. They were good...this place is WAY BETTER!! Sauce was super great. We got the R&B combo with R&B special sauce flaming. It was the right spicy..good flavor not too hot. Service was great. Super friendly and a good price. Totally going back and recommend it!

the RnB Special sauce was amazing!!! Got the half crawfish, half shrimp with extra corn, and it was all great!! I've had crawfish in many states, including Louisiana, and this is right up there with it!!
