Had been to one of their other locations 4 years prior while visiting the San Diego area. Decided to try this one for late breakfast and early lunch. The al pastor tacos were good, nicely seasoned and not too fatty. The rolled tacos were freshly made, crunchy and topped with guacamole. Just wish there had been more meat inside. Knocked off a star for that and the missing salsa bar. I'd go back.
Overall great experience , food was delicious 😋. Enjoyed thier special burrito with carnitas and Chile relleno and washed it down with a delicious cold horchata. Amazing service with a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely go again for the surf and turf burrito 🌯.
Forgot to take a pic before I slopped on guacamole and took a bite. Delicious Carnitas Burrito! Loaded with meat, tasty, and literally 2 meals for me. Massive amount and good quality with better prices than the guys down the street(k jr) Plus, friendly and super fast service.
Good location and great food. Love their small taco rolls. One complaint is that they didn't provide utensils for takeouts!
I drive from el cajon it is soooo worth it they are still the best. Carnitas is spot on the salsas are fantastic miss the Logan location but I will definitely drive farther for the best.
California burrito 🌯 was very delicious thank you so much, and I have many souses on the side.
Customer service on point friendly food fresh and tasty
Been coming here since they were in La Jolla/Logan. Some of the best al pastor in S.D. and one of the best Mexican restaurants in San Diego!
Fantastic local Mexican food stop. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The staff are very kind and friendly, I'd take negative staff reviews with a very large grain of salt. I've only had pleasant interactions with employees. People are welcome to their opinions on the food, but the staff is perfectly professional.
They have a few salsas to choose from, each is distinct in both taste and spice, nice to have the variety and it isn't just the usual red/green spice water you get at other taco shops.
The burritos here are excellent, especially the Sriracha chicken, which I've come for multiple times. Love the quesadillas too. However I was pretty disappointed in the tacos... Al pastor was super dry and the breaded fish seemed as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long and was soggy. Perhaps they're better on taco Tuesday when they have more people ordering them but I'm not sure I'd try them again.
