El Zarape Restaurant - San Diego - Photo album

Love the patio here, we were able bring Oskar and enjoy the specials. There was a DJ and games with prizes. So much fun, thank you🎄🎅 I would suggest getting a side of habenaro sauce if you want your meal spicy. The enchiladas de papa is my preferred vegetarian dish. Going back for weekend brunch!
Came here for dinner with friends on a Saturday. It was not busy at anytime while we were there. I ordered a pitcher of the margarita, which had a good mix; not too strong on the alcohol. For food, I got the Mixed Taco Trio with Pork Belly, Baja Fish, and Birria. I like the Baja Fish the best, w
The food and wait staff were fabulous. My only issue were the beans. They weren’t very good. I got the poblano omelette. It was delicious. The passion fruit margarita was good.
Delicious food and good service! Food tasted fresh and unique in its flavors and presentation (I got a poblano stuffed enchilada & chicken enchilada). I really enjoyed sitting outside, it was pleasant, calm and the tables were well spaced out. I also tried the margarita flight which was also a great
Yuliana had an amazing attitude. She had such a positive vibe. She helped celebrate my bday. She was amazing
This place is a must, our server was amazing. Even when it got really busy, still managed to keep our cups full of alcohol, coffee, or water. Food was great, almost close to home. They do have a special of endless brunch and mimosas or michelada flighta for less than 53$. Definitely coming back!!
Great happy hour menu!! The margaritas and tacos is so good. The fondue was a hard block of cheese which we didn't like. Customer service is excellent!! We would definitely be back again!
I have to say I love this place. This month was my first time there, and I've already ate their food three times this month. First time I went was for dinner. The decor is super cute. I had their michelada in a blender ! I'm not a beer person but it was delicious. We went again for brunch and I woul
The lengua chili verde is delicious! One of the best places in San Diego to have great Mexican food. Luis, our server was awesome! Very attentive and friendly. Drinks were great!
Food was ok. Had the shrimp cocktail which was good. Good size good taste and good prize. Wife didn't like the Mole poblano. The atmosphere was great. The outside eating area especially. They have a huge screen for sports. No parking near by. Had to park a couple of blocks away.
Great traditional Mexican food... Maybe a little Mexico City influence. As you can see by the photos, each item was very well presented, and each of us loved our meals. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The dining area was remarkably spotless too. The bar area appears to be excellent as
Sergio is a magnificent bartender we had the Arrachera (Skirt Steak) dish and it was out of this world. We sat at the bar and Sergio's service was outstanding!! ... things have improved since I was there last year during Covid... definitely gone from a two star to a five star. This will be my new we
Love the outdoor seating area and managed to eat here during happy hour for their 7$ Margarita flight. Four flavors: Mango, Strawberry, Watermelon, and one more that I don't remember but was my absolute favorite! Wonderful, fun ambiance. Great authentic Mexican cuisine at great prices.
With my husband, we went out for dinner at El Zarape today. I had 3 tacos Birria, pork belly and carne asada. Pork belly was so delicious! Fatty and flavorful. We also ordered margarita flights. Pineapple and strawberry kinds were my favorite. I can't wait to go back for more!
Love their food. As a Mexican I have had my grandma's cooking n mamas cooking so when I go out to eat Mexican food I have high expectations/standards. I have to say El Zarape has some of the best Mexican food this side of the border.
Took my family to eat here for the first time. We had a great time and the food was great. The service was perfect. We will go back again. My mother loved the Bria beef and the Chile Relleno. And my father loved the fish taco. The Avocado dip and salsa were excellent.
Good place to come and try, most plates come with rice and beans, the california burrito is good i recomend adding some green salsa, I used the one from the chips, the tres leche cake was also good.
