Had lunch with my Wife here and it was perfect. I would go there every week if it were possible but San Diego is too far away for that...greetings from Orange.
Don’t you ever wonder how certain cravings come about. My lunch cravings usually stems from something I was thinking about the night before. Or when I visit Yelp or fellow bloggers websites. Food pics – that’s another trigger for cravings. Mr Fish & Chips is located in Clairemont. Freshly battered deep fried fish is a weakness of mine. Fried zucchini could duke it out with Fried fish for the number 1 position. So of course I had to visit Mr Fish & Chips as they have both fried fish and fried zucchini on their menu.
I got the double catch combo, comes with fish, shrimp, fries, and a side salad. It was awesome!
It is not closed. Apparently reopened. Fish & chips very tasty & the onion rings are great. I would return
Pretty yummy food, not for ones who are watching their weight. I got the fish meal (?) and it came with 2 pieces of fish, chips and a side order. Very filling and also oily, but worth it Oh and one important thing, they are cash only. Not debit or credit cards accepted, but there is a chase, bank of america, and 3 other banks in walking distance.
Definitely the best Fish & chips restaurant in town, perhaps the only one authentic fish and chips in the area ?
It tasted just like the fish and chips I had in London,needless to mention the food, also the owners are really nice and the service was just amazing, and the price is pretty reasonable, I really think they should charge more for their food.

My 4years old son is very picky and he doesn’t really eat if it’s not good BUT he ate A LOT of fish and chips in this restaurant‼️‼️It was amazing!! Crispy coating surface and juicy inside. It was perfect. I ate fish, shrimp, zucchini, scalp, chicken, and chips

Wonderful fish and chips! We are visiting from Arizona,so happy we came to this spot to enjoy fish and chips! The portions were plenty. We were so full! The owner was the best and so so kind! You took such good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed!
This is a great spot to get fish and chips at a great price. The seating area was good. They had music playing in the background. The staff was extremely friendly and was very helpful when I asked for more sauce for my fish. The only reason I can't give this location 5 out of five stars is because of my seat. The seats are not that comfortable especially for those of us that have back problems. But if you don't have that problem then I say this is definitely a family-friendly place and they have some really great food.
Went here for lunch. Place was clean and ordering was a breeze. Got the two fish and chips combo. Fish was golden and crispy. Fish was cooked well and tender. The fries were very crispy which I like. The batter can use a touch of salt but overall a gold experience.
First time visit for my husband and I. The visit was very pleasant. The man was friendly, patient, and had great customer service skills.
He explained the meals, substitution options, and made recommendations.
The food was tasty. The fish and shrimp seemed to be good quality and not overly greasy like other places (Fish was sideways not showing their full size). They also provided plenty of condiments (2 each).
The packaging was also nice. I appreciated the paper instead of styrofoam and limited plastic. The box was fairly large and was probably the same size as a box of a dozen donuts.
I don't think the restroom were open but I like that they provided the wet wipes. It's a good alternative for washing hands.
He was also generous and kind, adding an extra piece for us.
It's an easy going environment, we recommend coming here and will be coming back!
Reliably good neighborhood fish and chips shop with a friendly staff and very reasonable prices.
Their fried fish is very tender, has a light coating, and is always made to order. The best way to enjoy it is to eat it there, at the few tables in front of the shop, as their ventilation system is often not effective inside the small sitting area inside.
This spot is still a favorite of mine! We haven't been here in awhile and was craving fish and chips! We decided to call in our order and yes, they're still OPEN! Even during the time of COVID-19, we were able to safely enjoy some delicious food, and with some of the best fish and chips in town. Customer service is always A+ here. He got our orders out quickly, and made sure that we were always stocked up with all the sauces we needed. Highly recommend!!

Saw tons of reviews before coming here , and the food was amazing. I think they change their oil everyday. The fish and chips were very delicious and fresh.
