Nice find in hillcrest!
We ordered traditional chicken curry and Vegetable Samoras. The mint sauce is amazing! Service was very friendly our waiter was really nice and let us sample a dessert. Definitely recommend it!
The atmosphere and customer service are great. The food is also good with multiple dishes and made to your taste. This is the place to go for Indian food close to Downtown SD.
Nice atmosphere created inside with pictures and murals. Food was good with a choice between different levels of spicy. However even the hottest spicy was not as hot as we had hoped for. Drink were good. Appetizers we had Samosa which were very good. Parking nearby in garages and neighborhoods.
Looking for Chicken Masala here's your sign. You can choose your heat level. The breads are awesome we did a little of everything and the side suaces (green one is awesome) food is fresh and homemade. The atmosphere and customer service are great making this place overall winner. Love everything and will definitely be back and recommending to friends and family.
Beautiful ambiance inside. We ordered Gobi 65 and Veg biryani, Gobi 65 tasted very good, and biryani doesn’t taste good.
We need park on the streets(free on sundae) or at paid parking lots.
Great ambience, and awesome service. The food was also great. Gobi Manchurian is a must try! Paneer tikka masala was so so but Malai kofta and Dal Tadka were awesome.
Parking is limited, but street parking is available.
Very nice place. It's airy and pleasant. The food is good -- standard Indian dishes for American diners, but well-executed.
Someone here seems to have a thing for Drake...
Had a wonderful dinner with great service. Food was not the best I have ever had but it was pretty darn good. A little on the pricey side but we are in San Diego. Would definitely recommend.
Masala sauce is amazing! The food is good quality.
Mixed pickle so salty.
A lot of take out. Not a busy restaurant on Friday night.
Nice urban chic environment immersed in Indian pop culture.
During my recent trip to San Diego, I had the pleasure of dining at Indian Palace, a gem of a Punjabi restaurant. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the Veg Biryani. It was a delightful blend of fragrant Basmati rice and fresh vegetables, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spices. The Veg Pakoras were another treat – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and accompanied by a tangy tamarind sauce that added an extra zing. But the true star for me was their Roti. Fresh off the tawa, these flatbreads were soft, fluffy, and the perfect companion to the biryani and pakoras.
What made my experience even more enjoyable was the warm hospitality and the inviting ambiance of the restaurant. Every dish served was a testament to the authenticity and culinary skills of the chefs. Indian Palace is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Punjabi flavors in San Diego. I left the restaurant with a satisfied belly and the memory enjoying sip of butter milk.
Good food, quantity, quality and service meets the price.
One of the finest restaurants in town with clean service, good quality food. Went there after a visit to San Diego Zoo. We were people of three bought One shrimp biriyani ' medium spicy' , lamb biriyani 'med-rare spicy' and a vegetarian biriyani. Taste was really good. Quantity was plenty that we had enough to take home.
Bill came up to only of $70 for 3 people including a 10$ tip.
Place is kept clean, restrooms are also kept clean.
I recently visited Indian Palace in Hillcrest, a culinary gem established in 1993. The restaurant boasts a focus on modern Indian cuisine, offering a delightful array of popular dishes. The ambiance exudes an urban yet sophisticated vibe, creating a pleasant dining experience. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was noteworthy, adding to the overall positive impression. A definite recommendation for those seeking authentic and contemporary Indian flavors. Make sure to ask for Vishar, bar tender and sever with great experience.
