Such delicious, freshly made food with amazing flavors. This is a place where you want to take your time to enjoy the meal. The portions are large making it perfect for sharing among friends/family. And the service was impeccable — not too many places have service like this anymore. Can’t wait to go back!
We opted for their three-course menu during restaurant week, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions! I selected the Alaskan King Salmon, while my partner chose the lamb. Despite the dishes being good, we found our meats slightly dry, especially the salmon. The lamb, ordered medium, arrived more towards medium-well. A friend who joined us ordered the filet, and she thoroughly enjoyed hers, praising its excellent seasoning and deliciousness. However, she also ordered medium, and it turned out more like medium-well. My suggestion is to order medium-rare if you prefer medium. All three of us indulged in desserts, which were not only beautiful but also delectable. The cake portions are sizable and perfect for sharing. We dined indoors, and the decor was pleasing, neat, and clean. Despite the minor issues, we look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings.
The pesto hummus is fantastic. Famous chicken also incredible. And to finish, the fadooleh (Persian ice cream) is absolutely amazing. The rose water is a bit strong at first but give it a couple bites and be sure to squeeze on plenty of lime.
We chose their restaurant week 3-course menu, and WOW were the portions HUGE! I got the Alaskan King Salmon and my partner got the lamb. We both felt our meat was a little dry. It was still good, but not great due to the dryness, especially of the salmon. The lamb was ordered Medium but it came out more med-well. Another friend went with us and ordered the filet and she loved hers and said it was seasoned really well and delicious. She too ordered medium, but it was also more like medium-well. My recommendation is if you want medium, order medium-rare. All 3 of us got desserts, which were beautiful and tasty. The cake pieces are very big and can definitely be shared. We dined inside and the decor is very pleasing, neat, and clean. We’ll definitely return again to sample more of their menu choices.
The food is not bad. Hummus was very good. 20% tip is included by default as well as 8% surcharge. Portions are really big. Take the main course for two or skip appetizers.
The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the lighting is great. This is our go-to whenever we are in San Diego. We had the beef, chicken, koobideh, and the group appetizer. We tried the Bandar cabernet sauvignon, which was ok. Our server, Gota, was really sweet.
Love, love, love Bandar! Great for date night or group dinners. Food is amazing, even my picky kids loved it. Decor is delightful, service is awesome, and the food! It's also walking distance to the Civic Center Theater if you want to grab a bite before a show.
On a business trip to San Diego, I decided to revisit this restaurant after about 4 years. I must say that fortunately nothing has changed! Same delicious authentic food with great service. I took a colleague with me and she also thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service.
Visited this place with a group of friends before heading to the Balboa Theater, and it turned out to be a fantastic surprise! We opted for a large order of tadig with various toppings, and it was absolutely delicious. The food came out quickly, which was perfect for our pre-show plans. Enjoyed a few espresso martinis before heading off to our show.
Went here with a group of friends before our show at Balboa Theater and it was a great surprise! We ordered a large order of tadig with different toppings and it was so good! The food came out fast too which was perfect. Had a few espresso martinis with it and then we were off to our show.
