We love the minestrone, the eggplant parmigiana (unbreaded & unbelievably superb!) the freshest side salad which accompanies the eggplant & the sweet ending of profiterole...a total "yum!"
This place has great customer service and solid food. Anything that would have their red meat sauce is guaranteed to be delicious. Come for the happy hour pricing and you'll walk away stuffed for half the price. Breakfast is actually really great too.
We walked by this cute lil cafe yesterday and had to stop for dinner! Soleluna Cafe has such a fun menu and a handful of vegan options too! Lucky for me, Brando decided to split the vegan Margherita pizza and vegan ravioli. We also got the bruschetta to start with. Y’all, the marinara sauce for the ravioli was incredible.
We’ll definitely be back for more happy hours! I definitely recommend anytime you’re in the downtown area.
Excellent dinner on a Tuesday night. Sat at the bar and received prompt service. Their Manhattan and the Chicken Pizzaiola pictured. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the red sauce was very flavorful. Thanks - I’ll be back for sure!
I had quite a delightful experience for my first time here. There is nothing I love more than a great team of servers and hosts.
I would like to point out Troy and his exceptional service. He not only recommended a meal, complete with dessert, that had me open my experiences, but he was a delight to chat with and very attentive.
From the moment I walked in and was greeted, until the moment I sat down the two individuals Troy and his coworker were on their A-game serving guests outdoors and indoors. They were attentive, helpful and polite the entire time I was in their serving care. Would certainly go again.
Excellent pasta (tagliatella), perfectly cooked (slightly al dente) with a light bolognese. Good Italian pale ale and a lovely profiterole in a chocolate mousse. Staff was chatting in Italian during my meal. I haven't been to Italy often, but it felt like I was back there.
Fresh, from scratch, great ingredients, this is not your run of the mill Italian restaurant. These guys care about food and service in a discrete, effective way. No frills, unpretentious and yet the quality of the food shines through. If you care about great food, this is the place for you. They just do it right with no arm waving or fuss. Look at the sear on my salmon alla livornese. You don't reach that perfection unless you know what you're doing, it shouts "confidence".
Food was pretty good and loved the view. You should stop by if you are near by. Customer service was not the best though

Great authentic Italian place in San Diego. It is far from little italy and downtown but it is worth it. It is a bit low key, and you can take dates on the outside patio. Pictured the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Please excuse the quality of the photo, it was really good!
Very good food. Enjoyed the atmosphere, indoor and sidewalk outdoor seating too.
