Best fish Tacos in San Diego! Great place, with great food and an outstanding feel! You can sit inside or outside, and parking was easy on a weekday. A little pricey, but the food was worth it!
Place was really cool, food was okay. A bit disappointed.
My girl ordered the spicy dorado taco and the TKO taco. I have the Pineapple Express taco and the elote taco.
Not a bad size, little larger than street tacos. Pretty filled. Honestly there’s so much stuff you don’t really taste the fish.
The corn tortillas were horrible. Either the brand they are is bad, or they didn’t heat them up correctly. Or, they’ve been sitting out all day and were stale. We got there around 9pm so who knows, but for about $8 a taco, they should be amazing. Also, just side note, they put one piece of avocado on it (extras $2 I think). It’s not even spread thru the taco, just one slice in one spot. So basically one bite has avocado 😂
The crab cake was great. No complaints there.
Had a dozen nautilus oysters. My girl said 3 of them looked bad and were slimy with white ooze, so she didn’t eat them. They were $1.25 which is a great deal. Assuming they’re clean and fresh lol.
Honestly, for $65 ($77 with tip), we were really disappointed.
Service was pretty good. Cashier and food runners were really friendly. Staff seemed to have an upbeat attitude. Overheard them talking and joking outside as they were cleaning and closing. They did mess up my order, but i think it was the kitchen not reading the ticket properly.
All in all, service was great. Atmosphere is cool. Tacos, weren’t worth it. Especially with the abundance of taco spots here. Crab cakes were great. Not sure we’d be back. Not totally against it.
DELICIOUS!!!! Will definitely come back again when back to San Diego 😋
We got ↙️
Clam Chowder - Fabulous 🔥
Onion Rings - were one of the best for me ⚡️
Elite and Pineapple Exbpress Mahi Tacos - soooo sooo good 🫠
It was quite busy to order but there were plenty of seats and tables outside - which was perfect
A very down to earth place. I've never really been a fan of seafood tacos; I just couldn't understand why that was thought of as good. The few I've had over the years didn't change my mind either.....
But as time went by I became more and more open to trying things. When this place was recommended, I was down to try again.
I'm so glad I did! Tons of choices of which kind of fish you want in your tacos and you can also get it in a sandwich or plate.
For me, I tried three of their signature house recipes and the TKO was by far the best. I will be getting that repeatedly when I visit!
Loved it so much I bought a shirt. 😁
Come early to escape the crowd! But great availability of local fish/ other options. Highly recommend the standard fish seasoning.
FYI-There’s a pancake’s worth of breading on the onion rings
Flew all the way from Denver and this was legitimately pit first “must have” stop: EVERY time I’m in San Diego PB fish shop is a must!
Ask the staff about their favorite pics! They have never giving a bad suggestion!
Highly recommend a visit when your in town!
Casual dining located close to PB. Parking behind. You pick the fish and customize your order. Several specials available for quick orders. I had a mango coconut taco, not great because the toppings kind of overwhelmed the mahi. Otherwise a very well stuffed taco. Also had a standard salmon taco with their house seasoning blend. Very good, little bit of kick, enough to add flavor. House fish chowder is very good. Large outdoor patio and indoor dining.
Really nice little spot for great seafood. I read all the good reviews and the actual experience did not disappoint. I have high standards for fish and chips and these scratched the fishy itch. Top it off with super friendly service, parking, and a chill atmosphere. We'll be back next time we're in town!
Super fish tacos place, nice environment with outside space to seat and enjoy the time. The food is really good and fresh. Could be a little crowded at the food ordering spot.
Want some seafood? Go here. Their selection of fish and seasonings are top notch. The blackened sea bass is my favorite. I will be back for sure.
Also as I was leaving, they gave a homeless person some of their leftovers. Very kind of them to share and put a smile in someone's life.
