Fred's Fish Fry

If you're looking for decent plank of fried fish, Fred's will suit you just fine. The fish is good. For the price, the #1 is a great deal. The fries are fine...nothing special. The shrimp consistently has way too much breading. The oysters are hit or miss. Their tartar sauce is great. Fair warning...if you get an order of tartar sauce make sure you budget those calories, cause you'll likely finish it. Onion rings are great as well. I'm knocking off a star because service is just meh. I do drive-thru, and regardless of the fact that there's almost never a line, there's always a long wait.

I haven't eaten at a Fred's Fish since a child so I couldn't remember what it tasted like. After hearing so much about it, I'd thought I'd give it a shot today. We picked up our food to go. The service was good, the inside of the restaurant was okay, and as for the food; it was all right. It's overrated and will probably not eat it again.

I Haven't had many issues other then the wait time but as of two week's ago i started to notice a faster-paced service everyone has different opinions to service and taste my personal opinion is that the fish is a bit greasy but its good however a simple improvement would be if they had they let the food drip on a drip pan a little longer and for the chicken Burgers to me there darn great. But that's My personal opinion

The manager Martha said I never paid for my food and that I picked up my receipt from the floor ?!?? I though she was joking I paid 19.89 and I gave her my receipt and she took it and said I picked it up off the floor ???!? I know this Fred’s fish fry is in a rough side of town but how dare you say I didn’t pay . ITS IN MY BANK STATEMENT. I finally walked away from her and left without my refund and food . Food that I PAID FOR I will report this Fred’s fish for fraudulent charges on my card ! ALL I WANT IS MY REFUND . Tell Martha to check her cameras and watch where she took my card and swiped it and also where I signed the receipt. This has got to be the most ghetto and disrespectful place I’ve been to .
