These must be the tiniest most fattening tamales I ever saw. What a disappointment. It doesnt look like they washed the husks correctly since we found a few bugs, which is normal but not after properly cleaning them. A dozen of these is probably 4-6 regular tamales.

Hit up this location on Sunday morning and there was no wait! They seem to have all the different flavors here as they're all listed on the menu inside. A dozen seems to be $9. They do take credit and debit cards here. I love the southwest vegetarian ones!! Delicious!

The quality of their tamales seems to be steadily declining. I recently bought a dozen regular pork tamales and ended throwing them away because they tasted awful. The masa was too thick, they were dry and each bite of meat had fat or gristle.
This used to be my go to place during the holidays but I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The tamales are delicious. I've never tasted tamales as good as these. I've been in San Antonio all my life and if I want tamales this is the only place I'll go to get them.

My kids do not like any other tamales, if it's not Rubens Tamales they have no interest, so here we come every Sunday for their tamale fix. My husband and I gave them a taste test lol, I've taken different tamales and say their from Rubens but kids know the difference.

Very small tamales. They're not the tamales of years ago. If you don't have any other choice they're ok for a last minute go to.

Really have gone downhill the last few years... Today I ordered 1 dozen pork and 1 dozen chicken. The pork had almost no masa and the chicken was ALL masa. Oh, and the ones that were half a tamale made me laugh for a second. Overall this place is pretty pathetic.
