Picnic with Jones Sausage. We were on our Saturday travels, ended up heading west on MLK and he says, want sausage? I say, no, aren't we going to have fish? He slows waaay down (no cars behind us) and I ask, why are you going so slow? Just in case you change your mind. So...I changed my mind, we go back and get sausage (somehow reminiscent of boudain--different and good), potato salad ( a little sweet, but I enjoyed it), they're out of greens (I'm crushed and tell them that's why we're there--everything else is garnish), 7-Up poundcake (fresh and yummy--he eats most of it) and he gets a frozen Kool-Aid (which never unfreezes fast enough to suit him, but is good--flashback to my childhood). We complete our last errand of the day, stop at Kenwood park and chow down. Everything tasted great (there was a tussle over the sausage ends). We will be back--nice people, good food...a perfect picnic.
Not bad, not terrific. If you're in the neighborhood and craving sausage or barbeque give it a shot if you like. Cash only.

HEARD OF BURNS BBQ IN HOUSTON, THEY ARE FAMOUS. Closest thing to Burns I have had in San Antonio area.

They make they own sausage and they also offer plates and sandwiches. A community staple and has been here Atleast since I was a kid. My grandfather use to take me and now I love to take my kids.
Ribs where delicious.. And the sauce was on point. Beans is not my forte but they was good. Conversation and hospitably was gracious... All together it was pleasant as all ways
First time trying Jones BBQ. We were not disappointed. Brisket and ribs are tender, with slightly sweet smoke flavor. Beans are homestyle and potato salad tastes like it was made with love. Comes with BBQ sauce, bread, pickles and onions. Shout out to our Favor delivery driver, he picked up order right away and got it to us in record time.
