Very friendly staff greeted on my first step in the building. Waiter was attentive, food was so amazing (loaded baked potato with brisket and sausage). 10/10 would recommend!
Y’all, Ed does not mess around when it comes to quality and portion! I got a meat eating man with a huge appetite that I need to please and Ed’s BBQ hits the spot real good. You get delicious food and a whole lot of it for a great price. My absolute favorite is the Loaded Baked Potato with brisket. That thing is massive and is so heavy and it is so good! That things is loaded with cheese and meat, it’s crazy and the potato itself is big. The Mac and cheese is creamy and really cheesy. The brisket, sausage, pulled pork....omg so juicy and cooked to perfection! The family meals are a great deal. It’s nice to see the owner of the restaurant front and center on the register greeting you. My husband and I have had Great experiences here and we always come back 👍🏻❤️
Not really fast so be prepared if on lunch break. Appears family owned. Staff was very friendly and refilled my soft drink in my to go cup for me before I left.
Ordered the 3 meat plate, with drink around $16.
Food was good. I would recommend
Came back about a year later.
Staff seemed preoccupied. I’m not sure why they ask for a tip when you pay before you get your food or experience the service?
Ordered a 2 meat plate, brisket and sausage with green beans and coleslaw. This trip, my order came out pretty fast.
The sausage was very good and the brisket tender and flavorful. I would recommend they add salt and pepper to the table. But it was very good.
I would visit again!
Headed to the racetrack and decided to see what came up on my Maps for nearby restaurants. Was greeted so nicely and immediately by the owner as soon as we walked in.
Then he proceeds to come over and wish me a happy mothers day and pays for my dessert.
Amazing food and great value. We got the family plate and added a LB of brisket. All the trimmings and more. They even offer policeman and military discounts.
We will return!

The service, the food and banana pudding are out of this world. Would give this Place, Mr. Ed and his staff 10 stars if I could. Nothing like a place that makes you feel like family coming over for dinner. Highly recommend!! If you found this review helpful please give us a thumbs up.
Just great food! All the meat was tender, bbq sauce was smoky, sides were good, and the price is nice too! Would recommend if you're in the San Antonio area.
Great place for BBQ on the east side. 1 block north of 90 on WW White. Older building, neat nostalgia in the walls. Friendly staff at the counter and net the owner. Caught them about 30 minutes before closing. But I didn't get end if day good. Brisket, sausage, beans and Mac/cheese. Everything was moist, fresh and had a good taste to it. Moist brisket easily came part. While link if sausage had a good taste. All in all definitely recommend. Owner says 11am- 2pm lunch crowd is jam packed so pick another time to go.
It is hard to truly encapsulate the brilliance of Ed's. Google brought me here and I got way more than I expected. Ed's is a family run homegrown business. Everything from their barbecue sauce to their chicken speaks excellence. They care about the quality of what they cook and making sure each morsel delivers. I only wish I had tried their peach cobbler.
Delicious! If you are looking for great bar b q here it is! Very kind family, great service, food... outstanding !!!
