The place is so cute. Cold beer and quick service. Bartender was new but she was sweet and attentive so made up for her newbie-ness. The place has a great environment. Check out the food you won’t be disappointed - the queso was amazing, shrimp P.O. boy was amazing, sweet chili chicken bites amazing... 10/10 would recommend!

Nice place to relax and enjoy a meal with the family :) we ate on the covered patio so my kids could play. We loved that they have misters and fans the patio to help you cool down. Staff was friendly and attentive. Wish i could remember our waitresses name because she was awesome! Food was great and the portions were huge! Didnt take pics of everything we got but heres the chicken fried steak, the kids chicken fingers, fried pickles and the lavaca burger! We digged all of it. Definitely will return. Oh and the patio is dog friendly too even have a spot on the menu just for them :)
Y'all should definitely come on down to the patio!! The food here is so so so good!! I have enjoyed everything I've tried and can't wait to make my way through the rest of the menu as I keep coming back for more. The service has always been fantastic and super friendly. The owners are very involved and do their best to make sure everyone is happy. It is a very welcoming and comfortable environment. The staff is wonderful and I sincerely hope you give this place a chance and come on down
Not a bad little plane on the Southside of downtown San Antonio. Very friendly staff who give their honest recommendations. Nice beer selection.
They are also very dog friendly. They have a dedicated party of their menu for dog food and dessert items.
Nice place to have a drink and watch the game. Food is just okay but I think this is more of a hangout or bar than restaurant. Will definitely be back.
The LaVaca Burger is worth the trip. The beef is cooked perfectly while the brisket adds a special smokey flavor. It could use a sauce, maybe something with a kick. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. We went during a rainstorm so we didn't sit on the patio, but there's plenty of seating if you don't mind making new friends. Also, chicken fried steak with QUESO. Get into it! The side salad looked a little wilted, but you're not coming here for the veggies. Solid. Would go back.
Favorable first visit.
Things we liked: fried pickles were not too salty and very tasty. They have a really good honey mustard. The fried cheese bites were fresh, not frozen. There is a "pick-2" appetizer option which was nice, a tweak to work out is the bartender said they had a "pick-3" option which I would have preferred but it "wasn't in the system yet." Good 80s rock/pop music selection and a kid play zone. Overall atmosphere was laid back bar.
Things that need work: Ordering. We had to go to the bar first, have the bartender write us a ticket, go wait at a table for a waitress and give her the ticket to order. I figure this is just a new place kink that will get worked out.
A little gem in Southtown with great food ,cold drinks for both you and your pet. Family friendly as well and the owner's are very accommodating! 😁🍻
Good place good food. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The waiter was very patient and never rushed me to order and he explained everything to me. Definitely going back and telling everyone I know about this palce
The Lava Lamp cocktail is my favorite. The onion chips needed salt and the poblano burger was dry. Great drinks! (Plenty of places nearby to eat)
Wonderful staff and a fun, relaxing atmosphere. Took a large group to dinner and the service was fast and very friendly. The prices were also very reasonable. Owner checked on us frequently. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a chill vibe and amazing food! No photos because we very too busy enjoying the awesome fried pickles, chips and salsa and chicken fried steak!
We had really enjoyable evening with another couple at this very casual and inviting venue in Southtown. It was a pleasure to meet the owner James, and for that we will continue to patronize this establishment. The atmosphere was comfortable, the wait staff were very friendly and our food was excellent. The nachos, were abundant and very good, but the peach cobbler was exceptional. Unfortunately, our one and only criticism was the slow service, for this reason alone, I didn’t give a fifth star. All of us will return and pass the word about the delicious and very reasonably priced food at the Patio.
