This place is all around great - food, vibe, service, good mix of clientele, and value. A neighborhood favorite for sure! The pork chop is outta this world!

TexMex at its best! I had the Carne Guisada plate and a Carnitas taco. First of all you could put mud in these tortillas and it would taste great. Their tortillas are puffy, airy, delicious, pieces of heaven. I wanna make a blanket out of them and cuddle and eat all night! The Carne guisada was so tender and super delicious. The rice was not the typical clump of second thoughts. It had wonderful flavor and not all clumped together. Beans were homemade and very good. The Carnitas were excellent! Tender, flavorful, and with the hot green salsa.. forget about it. This place is not that far from downtown and would be worth the drive wherever you are in San Antonio. Beats all the tourist traps and internet popularity contests. The real deal.

So my Beautiful Wife and I just Love us “hole-in-the-wall” places! (Don’t Judge us for eating out so Late 😂😅)
So we had just finished watching our grandson play soccer right down the street at the Community Center and saw this small quaint restaurant just calling our names! (Mainly Mine to be Honest); well, we pull in to this joint and it’s empty but we quickly get Great Customer Service; we Notice that the place is very Nicely Decorated with colorful vibes, tables cloths, and old family pics; and Great Signs “You Had Me at Tacos”! Well, the Food Options, Large Portions, and actual Quality/ Taste of the Food did not disappoint! I had Lengua guisada in some really nice Mexican sauce making my meat super tender; for my Wife, she had the Gorditas plate and they even gave her the option of making one chicken and the other beef without any extra cost (very accommodating with requests)!
Finally, they had Great Cumbia música playing in the background that wasn’t so loud that you could actually have a conversation and here each other speak! Again, the Folks were very Friendly and Welcoming and just put out Good Vibes all around; as I Always say, as much as I Love Great Food, I’m a Bigger Softy for GREAT Customer Service! Give them a visit; I’m certain you won’t regret it; Buen Provecho! 👍🏽
Went for lunch with my co-workers. This place had great food and it all tasted really good. It did have a lot of people inside the restaurant. I've already been there twice. Both items I gave bought have been delicious. One thing I should of got was the pork chop plate that my coworker got. It is 2 large pork chops that are deep fried. I got to taste a small piece of it and it also tasted delicious.
I ordered a chicken fajita torta and it came with fries. Both were amazing. The chips and salsa were great as well. I've had lots of salsa in my life and there's is in my top 5. I'm surprised this place isn't busy. I will be back.

This time a ordered the Soft Taco Plate it would of been perfect if they would not Drown the tacos in Red Taco Sauce, The Chicharon Taco was DELICIOUS nice and soft with a Delicious taste👌Feb 23, 2023 I went again ordered the Enchiladas Callejeras and I was disappointed no where close in look or taste👎To go I ordered the Chile Relleno Plate to go. The sauce on top of Relleno to tomatoee. I won't be ordering this plate again👎

First time here. Great service, fast service and food was very good and hot.
I've now gotten take out here twice. First, the Pork Chop plate, then the Guisada plate. Both were excellent. Fast, friendly service, and a decent price. I'd recommend Angel's to anyone looking for good food at decent price. I'll definitely be back.
Our waitress was the best customer service oriented I have ever experienced in years!! And she was the only waitress tending to all of us customers! She definitely is a rare gem! She was extremely friendly, proficient, fast, her memory was flawless, her smile was so natural, service and follow-up skills were of excellency. She definitely deserves to be acknowledged and rewarded!!!
I'm telling you every waitperson in town would do themselves a great service professionally! She indeed would show them how flawless customer service looks like and should be!!!
Great hole in the wall on the East side, this place is amazing and it has some of the best menudo I’ve had in awhile. Flavor profile was there along with the great portion size (large) served with onions and either corn or flour tortillas. All the other food looked fantastic as we walked in and is a definite must try. Friendly wait staff and very welcoming. We’ll be back for sure! A++
The only thing I hate about this place is that it is not closer to me. They have the best salsa I have found in the state of TX, and I did a double take on the menu prices. You can not find places that offer such fair prices, large amounts of food, and tastes this good anymore. Hope they never change a thing!
