Excellent food, warm inviting hospitality and excellent customer service. Would definately recommend and happy to return. We ordered the Broilers Delight, Buds basket, kids spaghetti and one all you can eat fish and fries. Everything was delicious.
I've been coming here since I was little with my mother. It's been 8yrs since I lost her and this has been the 1st time in a while since I've been back. It's brought so many memories and the food here is amazing. I'm glad I decided to come here with my kids.
Ok, so I've lived in San Antonio all my life. I have been to Bud Jones several times when i was younger. I'm not sure why I hadn't gone back in so long. Never had a bad experience. Our son, who lives in Austin said let's go there for lunch. The picture is a chicken fried chicken, gravy on the side. I should have taken a picture after I dressed my plate up. I also got a loaded potato, but they give you the butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon bits on the side. You dress your potato yourself. My chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. It's a really big portion, no complaints at all. I also had the onion rings that were a really nice surprise. Crispy and didn't crumble and fall apart. The staff was friendly and our waitress was very attentive to us. If you haven't been here or haven't been in a while. I'd say it's time to give it a try.
It was so good! We got all you can eat fish and a country fried steak. We were very satisfied. The fried mushrooms were delicious. Was super busy but they managed very well. It only took us 5 minutes to get a table. Our waiter was Brian. He was great! Very nice and friendly. He made us feel welcomed. We will be asking for him when we return.
The food was so delicious. The waitresses were on point . They were so friendly and nice 🙂 great customer service .
We rented out this backroom for a gathering. The service & food were great. The condition of that room was run down, the chairs had tears on them. The flooring looked horrible & dirty. Even though we decorated and slightly improved the room, it would have been so much nicer had some upkeeping been done to it. The owners should really consider remodeling these "party" rooms.
Been trying out as many old school SA food places as we can get to. Drove here from medical center at 1245pm today. Service was top notch, Sonya was the best. Great suggestions, very patient and attentive. This place reminded me of walking back into a 70s/80s restaurant, but seriously, a good vibe. Mushrooms and its breading was excellent. Wife had Ladies County Fried Steak (a little too chewy/tough) & I had Shrimp Mate plate. Shrimp breading like all others was really good. Place was pretty steady with business while we ate. Give them a try & you'll find something to eat for everyone😉
We had a great experience this past Sunday .
The difference between Bud Jones and Red Lobster are night & day. Service at both places were 5 Star 🌟 however when it's comes to portion size ,taste & price the local favorite beats the chain hands down . The atmosphere is nautical ⚓ and reminiscent & restaurant is clean.
Thank you Bud Jones
Love this old school restaurant for Work lunch. It has been around since 1950’s.
I haven’t seen the music machine for a long time. It is so cool 😎!
We ordered broiled fish plate and fried fish plate. They are delicious!
The place needs some renovation, buy keeping the original style is unique too.
This is an old establishment that has been around at the same location serving San Antonionians for generations. The location is easy to get to. The service was excellent. The staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. The food is great. I usually order the chicken fried steak. Very good. This is a family oriented establishment that offers a wide variety of delicious food.
