The food we had, the fajita plate and tacos(barbacoa, chicharron, y beans n cheese) were tender, flavorful and soothes the soul. It looks like a hole in the wall with no real decor. But it’s affordable, yummy and popular for good reason. We will be returning 👍🏼

At first bite, you immediately taste the creaminess followed by the poblano and a touch of heat. And then you bite into the chicken. A delicate taste and satisfying to the Palet. You can savor every bite.
The Frijoles perfect every time. All the combined flavors are there! You can taste them individually and all together as you bite down on a mouthful of Frijolitos that will take you back to your childhood like never before!
I caught myself sitting down once again as an 8 year old anxiously awaiting my fijoles de olla.

This place has amazing food. The barbacoa is the best in the city and the tortillas are perfectly soft. Everything from the pan dulce to the homemade chips and salsa are delicious and you can tell were made with love.

This has to be one of the most authentic Mexican restaurant I have been to in the Alamo City. From the variety of the pan dulce to the dishes served, La Gardenia offers a unique dining experience for all. Customer service is on point and place is very clean!

This place has good food. The waitress are very friendly and attentive. I would recommend you to go and see for yourself. The only bad thing is that they close early.
