Zito's Delicatessen & Sandwich - San Antonio - Photo album

Stopped in last Saturday while running errands. My husband and I had the serious sandwich which would be my recommendation. They also have a large suggestion of delicious cupcakes. They have a large variety of chips to go with your sandwich along with fountain drinks or bottle sodas if that is your
Zitos has some damn good sandwiches! Also whoever is making those Charro beans needs to share that recipe because mannnnnn they are delicious! Definitely a spot to try in the Babcock area!
Absolutely delicious!!! It's a hidden gem... Got 'The Italian', baklava and cheese cake. The sandwich was amazing it had the right amount of everything and the bread was probably some of the best bread I've ever had! I don't like cheesecake but let me just say I couldn't stop eating this cheesecake!
This new location is awesome! Sooo spacious and clean and the smell of freshly baked bread hits ya! Same great service as their other location too! Only thing off today was the fountain sodas not working, but they had tea, lemonade and bottled sodas for your combos instead, so no big deal! Had the
First time at the new location, and it's still the best sandwich shop in San Antonio, I use go to the Broadway location so my wife and I tried this establishment and it's just as good 👍
The "halfa serious" is delicious and fresh. Bread was warm and crisp. The actual dining could use some sprucing up but decent. The staff was friendly. Did I mention the "halfa serious" was delicious? *New location* UPDATE 2ND VISIT. New building, atmosphere was great, the staff is friendly. Restrooms
Roast beef Italian sandwich had a nice balance of bread, meat, and toppings. Italian sandwich was also tasty. Sandwiches were perfectly toasty. Side of beans was delicious. Cheesecake was super creamy and a huge slice for the price. Baklava was yummy as well. Lots of seating inside. Will come back.
Love this sandwich shop. They are indeed a hidden gem. If you haven't tried them yet get down there and give them a shot. I highly recommend the roast beef, however all their sandwiches are fantastic. Looks like they might be moving down the street at Babcock and Callahan where the Golds Gym is. Th
One of my personal favorite sandwich places! The Serious Sandwich is like a delicious thin crust pizza w sandwich fixings! We split this w chips among 3 adults depending on everyone's hunger level. I like that it's more filling than bread.
Best sandwich and soup combo I’ve eaten in a long time. Outstanding! My Philly sub was served piping hot with a delicious hot Italian dressing to dip. Toasty bread and good quality meat. Their potato soup was wonderful, not thick but creamy with something akin to a chowder. I loved the salty and zip
The 'Serious Sandwich' is hands down THE best sandwich I've ever had in my life. I've had this sandwich as a teen but my lame dad never told me where this place was, so finally as an adult i found this place again and enticed a friend that it indeed will be the best sandwich ever and he's been than
This place is awesome!! First time here I got the turkey breast sandwhich and it was so delicious. Toasted bun, fresh ingredients and made to order. Definitely a local favorite of San Antonio!
The pastrami sandwich was outstanding! Highly recommend!
When I was a kid my father used to take me to a liquor/drug store that had a deli in the back at the West Texas town I was raised in , it no longer makes that pastrami sandwich I have craved for decades . THANK YOU ZITOS for filling that void today
Really strong sandwiches at a solid price. Their understandable fame comes from the serious sandwich while feels like eating a little bit of everything they offer. Most of the sandwiches also come with a tiny cup of beans which you must eat in one hit like a shot. Be sure to arrive early if you're v
What a great new location, it's much bigger and brighter than the old one I really like it. I have been enjoying the Serious Sandwich since the late '70s and I've never been disappointed. If you haven't been there and tried their food you're definitely missing out.
Hadn't eaten here since 1989 when they were on Callahan. It was good I had the Serious. The bread was not crispy like it used to be. I reckon they're getting old and can't chew like they used to.😊
