The "halfa serious" is delicious and fresh. Bread was warm and crisp. The actual dining could use some sprucing up but decent. The staff was friendly. Did I mention the "halfa serious" was delicious?

New building,atmosphere was great,the staff is friendly. Restrooms are clean. Real improvement from last location!
Sandwich the "half serious" is my go to meal. Best Sandwich in my opinion in town. We have become regulars.

Stopped in last Saturday while running errands. My husband and I had the serious sandwich which would be my recommendation. They also have a large suggestion of delicious cupcakes. They have a large variety of chips to go with your sandwich along with fountain drinks or bottle sodas if that is your preference. My husband says he could eat three of these sandwiches but I could only eat half.

Hadn't eaten here since 1989 when they were on Callahan. It was good I had the Serious. The bread was not crispy like it used to be. I reckon they're getting old and can't chew like they used to.😊

When I was a kid my father used to take me to a liquor/drug store that had a deli in the back at the West Texas town I was raised in , it no longer makes that pastrami sandwich I have craved for decades . THANK YOU ZITOS for filling that void today

What a great new location, it's much bigger and brighter than the old one I really like it. I have been enjoying the Serious Sandwich since the late '70s and I've never been disappointed. If you haven't been there and tried their food you're definitely missing out.

First time at the new location, and it's still the best sandwich shop in San Antonio, I use go to the Broadway location so my wife and I tried this establishment and it's just as good 👍

Zitos has some damn good sandwiches! Also whoever is making those Charro beans needs to share that recipe because mannnnnn they are delicious! Definitely a spot to try in the Babcock area!

Love this sandwich shop. They are indeed a hidden gem. If you haven't tried them yet get down there and give them a shot. I highly recommend the roast beef, however all their sandwiches are fantastic. Looks like they might be moving down the street at Babcock and Callahan where the Golds Gym is. The address is 1554 Babcock. They are still open on Callahan rd. New location is finally open.

This new location is awesome! Sooo spacious and clean and the smell of freshly baked bread hits ya! Same great service as their other location too! Only thing off today was the fountain sodas not working, but they had tea, lemonade and bottled sodas for your combos instead, so no big deal! Had the Italian on wheat this time. Will definitely be back to this location again to try all the other sandwiches... 👍
