La Madeleine

I had went into La Madeline in the afternoon yesterday, around 3, and the nicest person I’ve ever walked into immediately greeted my Father and I. Every time I go to this La Madeline there is typically not the best employees, they will always give attitude. She looked like she was happy to be there and happy to serve us. They need more employees like this young girl.

I was greeted as soon as I came into the cafe. The associate taking my order, Angie, was very friendly and helpful. She and Lizzy expressed deep regret that the French toast was no longer offered when I showed them the picture from Google reviewers. As for my food, it was good. I can't say it was great, sadly. I was missing my bacon when the plate was brought to my table, but I let Angie know, and she had some out to me right away. The eggs remind me of Army dfac eggs, sadly powdered and watery. Some salt and pepper made the eggs edible. I got the strawberry and Nutella crepe, in place of the French toast. That was pretty good. Definitely would go well with some coffee. The ambiance is pretty nice, has a sort of European feel to it. I've been to France, so it was pretty refreshing. There were a bit too many gnats/flies around, but understandable. We were immediately greeted by someone I can only assume is the new manager. He is very friendly and verbose. I've always liked eating at La Madeleine, but I typically would avoid this location because I hate feeling like I'm in a cafeteria line. Although it's still set up that way, it helped to have better service than previously. The food was delicious as usual.

We had the absolute best experience here this evening. We have never been, and the manager was so accommodating and kind. The food came out absolutely perfect, which never happens anywhere! We had 2 orders of the Croque Madame with Caesar Salad on the side, and our son had a grilled cheese/tomato soup and Caesar salad. Simple, but executed perfectly. Even our eggs were cooked correctly. This manager went above and beyond to make our experience special. Highly recommend.
