Tj's Hamburgers

An iconic burger joint on the southside of San Antonio. The burgers are large, but on the thin side. The fresh lettuce & tomatoes as well as the toasted bun, don't forget the cheese (American, Swiss +1 I can't recall) makes this burger a juicy classic. Shoestring fries and onion rings are worth a mention as well. Next time you're on the southside of SA, lookup TJ's burgers. You may want to order ahead of time bc this place gets busy!!

Hands down my favorite burger joint and a staple of the Southside. I have been going to this location since I was a little kid. I remember going to the old building with covered parking on the corner. All my loved ones who frequented TJ's have passed but every time I pop in, it's like a trip down memory lane. Good news is our son enjoys eating there, so the next generation are lifetime customers as well. The burgers are juicy with a good flavor and not so thick that you need a fork & knife to eat it. Onion rings and fries are always piping hot and fresh and you can't beat the prices even with this inflation. I prefer TJ's to any burger joint in town.

TJ'S has a long standing reputation of being the home of simple good hamburgers, hot dogs and shakes. Great food, clean restruant and a score of A/100 hanging on the wall. Like everywhere else the food is best served hot. Stop on and enjoy a Southside tradition. This part of the review is on Oct. 14th 2023. TJ's is still rocking! This is a great place to get a great burger and Onion Rings. Don't sleep on this place.

The food was great! Nothing too crazy. Definitely a fair price for a good burger and warm fries. The restaurant is kept pretty clean. Just very bare minimum decor. But, decor isn't necessarily needed to enjoy a good burger! The area was in a shady area forsure but we didn't have issues when we went during lunch time 👍

Happy that it's still as good as I remember it was. I'm sorry I missed the chili, that's always been one of my favorite things to get there. Service was fantastic everybody was super friendly. The music was jamming Doja Cat, Kali Uchis and Demi Lovato. The onion rings are not made in-house but they're still good. Also like the fries. Bought a small of each one to hit all the buds. We were there when they first opened up so it was still ice cold inside LOL one of my friends actually went out to get a jacket in the car, not from Texas LOL. Went to TJ's a couple of weeks back was my first time there was very surprised about the service the guy was really nice very patient helping me make my decisions on what I wanted on my Burger the burgers were awesome but what really blew my mind 🤯 were those chili cheese fries with jalapenos🥵 boy were they spicy but they were delicious I thought it was a little pricey but well worth it my sister and I will be back next time I'll bring my son
