Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

I went here with my daughter because we needed good food at a reasonable price. It was after church and we needed to get to the next destination. May have a large variety of burgers, custard, shakes, and seating arrangements. You can't go wrong going to Freddy's. But it will be nice when the construction is complete and you're not concerned about a one-way collision when entering or exiting the restaurant!

I really like Freddy's burgers because they are always cooked the way I prefer them. I love a smash burger and they're done so well here. It's also convenient to have a drive thru. The custard is good. I tried the Peppermint shake that was a seasonal item and I am glad I tried it because it was a perfect holiday treat.

It's been a while since I've been to Freddy's and smash burgers specifically seem like a rare commodity in San Antonio at the moment. I ordered two double cheeseburgers and a chili cheese fry to accommodate. The food came out in less than 5 minutes and everything was hot and fresh, as it should; being "fast food". The burger patties were nice and had a decent crust. The pickles weren't overbearing, though I am not the biggest fan of them being spears. The bun was the biggest let down, as it was dry. My brother, who joined me had dry buns as well. The chili cheese fries were fine. Middle of the road I guess. They are shoestring, so not your traditional type of fries. In the end, I have had better, and the prices here are not all that competitive. Very overpriced in my opinion, and there are plenty of better tasting burgers elsewhere. 3.6/5

This place is great! I ordered my food and expected to be waiting but to my surprise it was ready in a matter of minutes! Something I can’t say for other fast food places. The environment is great and the food tastes amazing, and the employees are phenomenal! If I wasn’t limited to 5 stars it would be higher!

the costumer service here is well done! They are most of the time busy but still manage to have a hustle, they always make sure the entire restaurant is very clean, and always have smilies. the management do a very thorough job making sure customers are satisfied and do anything to ensure and keep the standard above and beyond. Thank you Freddys staff for always making sure my families time here is always pleasant, much appreciated!
