Real nice place, fast service nd food was delicious, staff very attentive!
We always enjoy Freddys in Alamo Ranch..We had a bad experience at Freddys in the Rim about a year ago and had not been back...was so happy to see it has changed...Our burgers were Hot off the grill and fries always great..dipping sauce the best...So glad to see the change..
I really like Freddy's burgers because they are always cooked the way I prefer them. I love a smash burger and they're done so well here.
It's also convenient to have a drive thru.
The custard is good. I tried the Peppermint shake that was a seasonal item and I am glad I tried it because it was a perfect holiday treat.
It's been a while since I've been to Freddy's and smash burgers specifically seem like a rare commodity in San Antonio at the moment.
I ordered two double cheeseburgers and a chili cheese fry to accommodate. The food came out in less than 5 minutes and everything was hot and fresh, as it should; being "fast food". The burger patties were nice and had a decent crust. The pickles weren't overbearing, though I am not the biggest fan of them being spears. The bun was the biggest let down, as it was dry. My brother, who joined me had dry buns as well. The chili cheese fries were fine. Middle of the road I guess. They are shoestring, so not your traditional type of fries.
In the end, I have had better, and the prices here are not all that competitive. Very overpriced in my opinion, and there are plenty of better tasting burgers elsewhere.

I went here with my daughter because we needed good food at a reasonable price. It was after church and we needed to get to the next destination. May have a large variety of burgers, custard, shakes, and seating arrangements. You can't go wrong going to Freddy's. But it will be nice when the construction is complete and you're not concerned about a one-way collision when entering or exiting the restaurant!
Awesome burgers with great retro vibe with good prices and generous portions. I’m doing low carb so I ordered a lettuce wrapped burger which was the best I’ve have had at a restaurant. They completely wrapped in lettuce with all the toppings so everything was neatly contained. Normally a lettuce wrap can get very messy but definitely not with this one. Very delicious, healthy and so happy I came here. My husband order the usual hamburger, fries and malt and loved it. Highly recommend!
Always good food and good service. Only thing I didn't like was having to wait to order but when your there at lunch time alot of people want this awesome food. Some of the best onion rings I've had in a long time. Can't wait to go back and get more.
I absolutely LOVE this location the food is always fresh and hot and the desserts are out of this world. The guys who helped me today are always kind and helpful. I was assisted by Jacob and Diego they are just awesome sauce.
This place is great! I ordered my food and expected to be waiting but to my surprise it was ready in a matter of minutes! Something I can’t say for other fast food places. The environment is great and the food tastes amazing, and the employees are phenomenal! If I wasn’t limited to 5 stars it would be higher!
Always a slow drive through but the food is worth the wait. Ordered the number 3 “California style burger” or something. It did a great job of tasting like an In-N-Out burger. The fries are those nice shoe string style. Very thin and goes great in their “fry sauce”
Always fast friendly service with good food.
The food is very good, which is why we keep coming back. The servers seem to be a bit more stand-offish these days, however I think that would change back after the pandemic. Freddy's is still a lot better than other places. One of my first choices when I'm in the area.
