I've been here twice and tried three different dishes. All of them tasted great, but the lomo saltado is hands down favorite. Main complaint would be that I wished for more of it. I'm a person with a very healthy appetite so it's possible that most people would be satisfied but I felt like I could do with a bit more food. It's not super pricey but it's not super inexpensive either so it's a bit of a letdown to want more to eat after.

I am not even Peruvian, but for someone who has tasted original recipes in the Sacred Valley, this restaurnat’s recipes are not only tasty but delicious. They took awhile to serve them, reasonable when it’s cooked from scratch. No regrets, though. I had the empanadas de carne, which were cooked perfectly and the sauce just extraordinary. My brother also enjoyed his dish. Simple menu, but delicious. Additionally, the staff was incredible and very friendly. Stop by. Vale la pena.

Hole in the wall joint with lots of character and culture. Very Simple menu but the photos don’t capture the aromas and seasoning. Immediately upon entering I knew we found a good spot based on the Aroma Wish the food was spicier but the owner said they toned down the spice due to customers complaining about the spice levels Great nonetheless

El Festejo services the best Peruvian food my wife and I have ever had, and we’ve been all over South and Central America. My wife is Bolivian. She introduced me to Peruvian ceviche. We’ve had ceviche all over San Antonio, the U.S., Central and South America, etc. This is absolutely the best ceviche we’ve ever had. The tilapia was so clean and perfectly fresh. The “Leche de Tigre” lime juice was fantastic, full of flavor with fresh lime, and for me, the perfect amount of heat kick. If you like it hotter the “aji” (salsa) they serve was equally amazing! Picante, but full of flavor. The sweet potato served as a side was made with cinnamon and marinated in orange juice. My entire perspective on sweet potatoes has changed forever. My wife had Lomo Saltado, which I also sampled. Again, Best Ever! A wonderfully lean beef in a warm beef broth/juice, and light flavorful rice, which perfectly cooked onions and veggies. Wow. We also enjoyed their chicha morada, a sweet beverage made from purple corn. Excellent and 100% authentic Peruvian. It was a perfect experience in the perfect environment. The owners clearly take pride in all they do. The entire place was immaculate and adorned in a clean, elegant, and very clever way. The night was perfect even before we met Owner/Chef Karla. What a wonderfully charming artiste. She is engaging and truly passionate about her and her husband’s family business. I highly encourage you go to El Festejo. You will be very happy you did.

Amazing food! Great service! We ordered anticuchos, papá a la huancaína, tallarines verdes, and an empanada. All tasted great. Also, worth noting... My fiance is Peruvian and he approves of this place!

This was my first time trying Peruvian food and I was not disappointed. The Lomo Saltado was delicious and so were their homemade sauces. The service was also great. I look forward to coming back and trying other plates on their menu.

Great tasting food, although I did feel the portion was a little light for the price, but great tasting food.

Enjoyed the Peruvian food. I would recommend for those wanting to try something different. The empanadas with chicken were pretty good. Service was great.
