I'm not usually attentive of my diet, but I was happy to find the 9 grain pancakes, which was the first fiber containing food I've seen in a few days. The fruit was also appreciated by my system.
Fibers were very welcome after a few days of US food. Of course, I added some eggs and bacon to make sure they kept the American feel. The country music helped as well.
Service was decent enough. People seem to hold Denny's to restaurant standards, but the waitress was helpful.
Well worth the visit.

Went to this location for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning, waited about 15 minutes to be seated, which was no problem at all. My waitress was great, very polite, and always came to the table with a smile on her face to assist. The food was great. I tried the stuffed French toast, and it was delicious. I would definitely come back to this location when I am in town.

My server Sarah was great and was attentive. She did a great job. The food was pretty good I had the carmal banana slam pancakes with eggs. The pancakes were great however, the eggs tasted a bit like powdered eggs and dry. As far as the homeless situation outside, the manager seems to be doing his best to help them but also make the customers coming and going feel more comfortable. It’s a great place to eat, y’all just work on those eggs a bit.

Our server Tyler was awesome sauce very friendly & funny. Our food was so delicious we had the Santa Fe Skillet & Moons Over My Hammy Omelet & coffee. Our food came out fast. We will definitely be coming back here 😋

Souch of an amazing experience. The service that my server give was exceptional. Very attentive to the details, refill my delicious hot coffee. My stuff french toast was out of this world. The delicious creamy filling with the strawberry sauce, what an amazing combination. The recommendation for my scramble egg took me by surprise. Fresh jalapenos, diced tomatoes and perfectly grill onions with melted cheese. Who would guest that you can get eggs so delicious in this presentation at Denny's. I ask for bacon and was cook to perfection, crispy and flavorful. My server suggested to add hash browns with perfect grilled onion, delicious melted cheddar cheese, fresh jalapenos and bacon. That by it self was a star, delicious.
The server were very professionals and helpful. The restaurant was clean and with a fresh look. The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. I'm visiting this beautiful city and she told me some site seen, and her recommendation was spot on. The Alamo is marvelous, and walking distance from this magnificent location. The river walk if full of joy and Christmas spirit, walking distance as well.
Highly recommend this location. Very attentive and friendly staff, and delicious food.

So the saving grace belongs to the kitchen! Six of us. Ordered everything from sandwiches, breakfast to dinner items. Everything tasted great and hot. So from a greeting standpoint not nearly as good. Did not make us feel important. Rather made us wait for 15 minutes because where tables were available the waitress had recently had seating so now we were waiting for the issues of the staff. Once seated we had to wait another 15 minutes to get anything to drink. 45 minutes after getting in food finally arrived. Keep the cooks and retrain your hostess and wait staff. Ty

Anita was my server and she was simply a joy and very attentive and efficient in taking care of her section. My food was served within a timely manner and when it arrived it was fresh and hot. I had a small issue with my turkey bacon and Anita had it fixed right away.

Visited Denny’s for the first time and we enjoyed it. Our server Karmen was very well put together. She took care of us very well and was very high spirited. Will definitely stop by again for their chocolate chip pancakes.

So terrible host! Made us wait 30 minutes because the waitress working the only tables for 6 had just seated another couple...and had to wait for another waitress to seat her area first. Once seated the waitress didn't bring water for 20 minutes. All in all we were there for over an hour to eat breakfast! The only saving grace was the food was very good! So to the manager... You must step up your game!!!

Had to wait 15min in line when there was about 5 tables empty. The waitress kept bringing us the wrong drink orders. When our food arrived, My eggs were all burned, my waffle was flat and all torn up, and my hash browns weren’t even cooked fully. My wife’s hash browns were super burned.

I went with my family to Denny's we were gonna go to McDonald's but decided not to. I had a T-bone steak medium rare it was good. I had to go got to the restroom but there was a guy passed out in the stalls. lol. Our waiter was cool, and friendly and delivered quality service. Everybody was tired but other than the guy in the stall and everyone being tired i/we had a good time.

I read a lot of bad reviews but I give them 4 stars. We have been here twice this weekend for breakfast and it was right on the money with good service. So for a early morning breakfast stop I recommend this location.

At Denny's, just two blocks from the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, I got a stack of delicious pancakes, a huge decanter of syrup, sausage links, and coffee, all for $6 plus tip. Service was excellent, delivered by a very friendly waitress who worked her tail off but never broke a sweat or appeared stressed.
Denny's breakfast fare is a bit too high in calories for a health-minded guy my age, so I can't make a habit of it. It's always a great treat though. Thank you, Denny's!

Was there 2 mornings in a row. First morning was perfect. Even though I don’t think they were prepared for all of the Elks at convention service was quick and food great. The next morning also realizing that it was the 4th of July, service was slow and food was not prepared to order. Barely had time to eat before our meeting absolutely did not have time to get food order corrected. But given the circumstances I will give them another try somewhere else. It had been around 15 years since I had been in a Denny’s due to poor service and food quality.

As soon as me, my fiancée, my mother and my street brother came in we were seated quickly. We got our drinks fast. We got our food order in no time at all. The service was excellent and I would recommend friends to eat here.

Dirty coffee cup, graffiti on both bathroom mirrors, urinal out of order, bathroom dirty, stepped in vomit in parking lot. Food was good, and staff was cheerful. Just don’t use the restroom, and watch where you walk.

Had to wait almost 10 min to be seated. They were not busy atm. The kitchen at this dennys is wack. You could hear servers calling for forgotten items. My plate wasn't as ordered, and my sausage gravy was with out sausage and just clumped in one area. I had to ask our server for more, and the sausage. BUT I will say that Jeremy H, was amazing!! The host or whoever gave him the 3 tables(ours included) that had just come thru the door. 3 tables at once. He was efficient and fast. Got to each table one after the other and was polite and if he was pissed about the triple seating, it did not show one bit. He deserves a raise or gift card. Maybe a job offer where his efficiency is better used than a crap dennys. �� the star rating is for out table service and NOT the resturant itself.

I’ve visited this location several times over the years and it is always a mess. Short staffed, which means terrible service. An hour to get your drink order placed is ridiculous.

The food topped it off when it came out a hour and a half later had to send it back twice and still tasted like crap.
Didn’t eat any of it and they told me they would take $1 off my bill. Smh

So my brother took me to Dennys and I just have to give it this review....
We got there and waited approximately 4 minutes to get seated, then we're waited on fairly quickly after the hostess first said sit anywhere then guided us to where she wanted us to sit at, a dirty table, then the waiter cleaned it off only after my brother scraped off the crumbs with his jacket, then waited on us fairly quickly, after getting our drinks, we waited approximately 35-40 mins to get our food!! I mean of you're not that busy to begin with why would it take that long??? Then after letting the waiter know that if it was going to more than 5 mins we were gonna leave our food arrives at the 3 minute mark.... I mean come on we ordered fairly simple things not a steak. So if you want to eat at the Dennys on commerce street, be sure you have an exorbitant amount of time to kill!!! The wait was ridiculous!! Not going back!!
