Still the best breakfast buffet and the waitress was very nice and talkative. Two hour drive to the only one left in Texas but worth it!!
The service there was excellent and my waiter was awesome even though they were very busy my waiter was on point on coming to see if we needed anything and refilling our drinks
This is one of the better ones I've been to in a while. The facility is kept pretty clean but they could use a little more TLC in the dishwashing area. Most of the staff is pretty young so don't expect the finest professional etiquette. The food is rotated often & fairly fresh & hot throughout. They seem organized for the most part.
First visit. Buffet was great looking and fresh at 1730 hrs. Fried shrimp, boiled & peel shrimp, catfish, chicken and great veggies! Salad bar with fruit good as well. Tables and floors are clean. Business good! Service thus far is very good! I rate it a solid 6 this visit.
Love This Place. I lived in San Antonio years ago and went back to visit recently. Happily, Shoney's was still right there and serving the best Southern Homestyle food I've ever eaten. I wish that they would open a Shoney's in El Paso. This place rocks. They have wonderful prices, terrific food and they have "theme" foods. One day it is all day breakfast, another it is seafood day, etc. I love this place.

I LOVE THIS PLACE !. We were pleasantly surprised with Saturday Dinner at Shoney's all you eat Seafood Buffet. I had the
breaded shrimp, mashed & fried potatoes, the baked chicken, green beans & cabbage and a small perfectly cooked sirloin steak. I also had the cornbread cupcakes, the dinner rolls & the bread pudding. My mashed potatoes and gravy were actually hot and the boiled cabbage was delicious! Everything seemed to be prepared from scratch. My date had the baked salmon, the peel to eat shrimp and the baked chicken. The buffet table looked beautiful, with a full salad & fruit bar and 2 kinds of hot soup. I ate so much entree that I had no room left for the salad & soup. The clientele was predominantly African American and I got a distinct soul food feel from the dinner choices, I saw fried catfish & trout, veggie beef soup, greens, fried okra and my favorite, cornbread. Our waitress Coca, was very friendly & accommodating. Shoney's seafood buffet is proof that not all buffets are high volume & low quality. We got out for about $25.00 beverage included. Not a bad deal at all. Thank you for a very good dinner experience!
We go there every Friday for lunch...great atmosphere and good food! Especially the catfish;)
My husband and I tried Shoney’s because we saw the sign with the buffet. We went inside and no body was in there so we were immediately greeted which was nice. They invited us to check out the buffet and it look like it had been sitting a while and nothing interested us so my husband said he just wanted a burger so they sat us. The waiter was super nice and attentive, very quick to refill my husbands drink and bring condiments. It was strange at first because we were the only guest there around 6pm. By the time we got our food more people started coming in so it started to feel and sound like a restaurant again. I got the chicken fried steak and my husband got a bacon cheese burger. The portions were pretty small compared to other places but our food came hot so not complaints. Every thing went great but we probably won’t be back just because Shoney’s wasn’t our style.
I went to shoneys on Sunday. Got there before the church crowd( that's very important) got to say..I love how they have their setup. Yes, a server does get your food for you and the staff is always nice. What I love, there was bacon when I got to the front. Usually, bacon monsters attack that tray and you have to wait because there's no more bacon. And the line goes faster. Go try them out. Not many shoneys left.
I absolutely love this place!!! Nice and knowledgeable staff, from the bussers and servers, up to the head manager(s). Faith and Heavenly we're very nice. Not to mention, the food was also delicious and filling!!! I recommend Shoney's off of I35 to everyone!!!

Visited you guys for my birthday enjoy my breakfast wait service was unsatisfying did not come to the table not one time to refill drinks or remove plates
My sister and went had planned a sisters day so we went there and the staff was really friendly and nice. Not to mention we sat there over a hour just talking and laughing. The food was great our waitress was excellent kept checking on us. But we really enjoyed being there. Also everyone was wearing mask and it was hand sanitizer at the door so we was impressed even more especially with us working in the medical field. Keep up the good work.😊

Great taste and price, good for family and groups
Was looking for somewhere good to eat and checked out the menu and said why not? Smelled good walking in. Felt welcomed right away, and led to a booth. It was about 1pm and they had a buffet and was asked to check it out. Oh man... It looked like, i had just dropped by someone's house while dinner was being served. Fried chicken, ham, fried and baked fish. meatloaf, mashed potatoes with white and brown gravy, some bomb mac and cheese plus more.... Desert they had strawberry shortcakes that you build yourself and fresh fruit. My new favorite place. Thank you!
