Sazon Mexican Cafe

Been here twice and the food and service were great both times. The location is convenient. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seats and short wait times. Food is priced right and portions were more than enough. They have several new members in their wait staff so please be patient, they are learning as this place just hired a bunch. Comparable to a Mama Margie's or Las Palapas. We'll be back!

Came for lunch. Food was good and reasonably priced. Had the mole enchiladas to see how they were. Not too spicy, more cumin on the sauce (every place is different). Chicken was nice and not dry. My only complaint was how tiny the tables were. There were four of us at the square table and we had no room for our plates and were bumping each other. I can see how this is good for the restaurant because they can fit more people inside with smaller tables, but it wasn't very comfortable. I'd go back, but with less people so there's actually space at the table.

Sazons is BACK! New & larger location! The soft opening was packed and service was so fast from waitlist to seating to serving everything was amazing! The owners family will even wait your table if they are too packed. Go to Sazons for the best Mexican Food in San Antonio and great service from amazing people! Charro beans, Javi special with carne guisada, and DONT FORGET THE CILANTRO ENCHILADAS! You won’t regret making your next Sunday meal a Sazons stop.

Right now Sazons new location is not quite ready but they have thier food truck up and running for awhile. I decided to stop and bought my husband his fav chorizo & eggs. He missed their c&e tacos. He was happy I stopped because he missed their food. I on the other hand had the carne guisada & was delish. Hope soon the main building be open soon but for now food truck is good as well.

Five stars for the price and portions alone! With five kids, we hardly ever order off the kids menu but rather split larger plates. Their plates looked like an adult portion! Another hidden item that needs to be highlighted are the charro beans! Wow - a little spicy but incredible flavor. Give them a try!
