We had a great experience at Botika. We loved the unique fusion menu, there was something for everyone on the menu. The service was great and the atmosphere is awesome, especially being in the heart of the Pearl. Well done Botika!

Okay... I used to come here a lot. And then things kinda fell off, at the restaurant, and it wasn't worth going to. But... we've heard things changed, and it was time to see. If you're local, yeah Botika is back. If you're a foodie from out of town, Botika is only kinda back. Cocktails were excellent, service was polite and rushed. For a dinner, some sushi,.and cocktails for $120, kinda not too bad, but it's supposed to be fancy, so that's the bar. Steamed buns were pretty great, Spicy tuna roll was good,.but it was sticking to itself and had to be ripped apart. Sashimi was very good, but I don't think that was today's fish. Also, kinda didn't care as the flavor was there. I got the half chicken which took a while to cook, which wasn't a big deal, but my wife got her dish and basically ate her entire dinner before mine came. And I was pretty hungry. They did apologize and comped me a cocktail, so that was pretty awesome, but it's still bad time management in the kitchen. Also, even though the chicken was cooked pretty much perfectly, it's not what you should order here. I just love me some roast chicken and was looking for that classic taste. And it didn't really taste like that. Although, it was cooked perfectly. I went with the chicken as it was my 2nd choice, first choice was the short ribs and noodles. Which my wife ordered. And OMG was that out of this world delicious. That's what you get at this place!!! That's what made me want to say, Botika is back. Definitely worth a night out. It ain't cheap, but it won't break the bank either. Worth a dive into the menu to see what you think rocks or not. Worst case, well cooked food...best case, culinary delights. Food is supposed to be an adventure. Will be back. Glad to see an old favorite has come back.

I’m posting this updated review on behalf of my sister, who decided to give Botika 🍽️🇵🇪 a second try after we had a very unsatisfactory first try during my first trip to San Antonio to visit her. According to my sister, Botika was much better 🌟 the second time around 😃! The food quality was much better (not as oily or salty compared to the first time we both were there to try it), and the food was somewhat tasty 😋! She really felt that Botika tremendously improved 💫 in both food quality and service 😃!

Impromptu dinner @botikapearl tonight. I was able to reserve a table through Open Table. We caught happy hour in time as it ended at 6pm. Plenty of agua fresca flavors to choose from. I got Dad the Mango one. For a little extra, you could spike it with Tito's Vodka! I had the Sake Flight, and my husband had the Mango Mojito, both part of happy hour. We ordered the Achiote Wings on HH. Very moist and flavorful! Didn't even really need the chimichurri sauce. Since Dad loves buns, we ordered the 3, but was given 4. Good little bite! Next was the Short Rib Noodles. The meat was tender, but on the salty side probably from the soy sauce. The final dish was the Half Roasted Chicken & Cremes, which had a 20-minute cook time. Enjoyed the green sauce! We left quite full with some leftovers.

I LOVE this place. After visiting Peru in 2019 I have been obsessed with the food and culture and can't wait to go back. While living in Austin I found a Peruvian place that had awesome food and was hoping to find one in my new area as well. This place does the trick!! My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here and we basically had the whole place to ourselves (we ate around 4p on a Thursday). I got a version of the Lomo Saltado (my personal favorite) and my husband and I split both dishes in order to try more. At the time I was pregnant so I can't speak to cocktails, but the ginger beer drink they have available was delish - I couldn't get enough of it. Tangy and gingery and paired perfect with the food. Wonderful atmosphere, great and friendly staff, and clean bathrooms. I told my husband if we are in the area this is the place we are eating at.

Food was fantastic! We had the achiote chicken wings, steamed buns, short rib noodles and charred octopus. The buns and wings were perfectly cooked with just the right crunch and tenderness where it should be. This was the best cooked octopus I’ve ever had. It wasn’t chewy which is what I typically experience. It was so tender and had a good char, not completely burnt on the outside. The noodles were light and paired great with the short rib which both had a nice soy glaze to them. Wait staff was great! April was kind and knowledgeable about their menu items. If I have one nitpick was that it was a little loud. Hard to hear at your table but I think the atmosphere overall is good. I feel it deserves better reviews, especially on yelp. If you’re not an adventurous eater, don’t come here. They don’t have your typical food. The fusion approach is great here and should be better recognized for its creativity. Well done Botika!

INSANE FOOD! Definitely recommend the Sushi. The vibes are low key. You can practically get every type of authentic Asian cuisine here - so if you like Asian food no better place in the pearl!

Stopped by for lunch during the week. We were immediately seated with no wait. Had the Paloma and the house made ginger beer. The ginger beer was amazing! Will definitely get that next time. For starters we had the pot stickers, steamed buns, and the Teri chicken roll. The pot stickers were outstanding! They came with a spicy mustard that gave it another depth of flavor. The steamed buns were also great! We dipped the steam buns in the sauce from the bottom of the pot sticker dish, as well as the spicy mustard. For our mains we had the Botika Fried rice and the Spicy Eggplant noodles. The fried rice was good, but the eggplant noodles were AMAZING! We will definitely be back.

Amazing flavors of Asian and Peruvian. Not only did the food taste really amazing, it was beautiful. My pork buns were fantastic. They had all the flavors, tangy, sweet, sour, salty, crunchy, soft, really- all of it. Delicious. The sushi roll was perfect. The veggies with goat cheese we dug into so fast, almost didn't get a picture. There was nothing we didn't enjoy. Showed up on a busy Saturday evening. They accommodated our party of 5. Our server was attentive and helpful. She knew the menu well and could make recommendations. Loved her sake flight recommendations with the exception of one. And she graciously changed it. Works totally visit again.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I was very impressed. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. From the food to the decor I enjoyed my experience here. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating. The menu offers sushi and sashimi, but I saw a Burger ordered by another patron and it looked amazing. I ordered a drink from the bar, it was strong and delicious. While I was there, the head chef was getting interviewed by a magazine. Keep an eye out for him and this restaurant. It was great. Well worth my lunch money. 😊
