This is the only location I have ever been to. The burgers have always been great. I like to call the order in and it is ready when I get there. Try the Bacon Cheeseburger with everything.

Real burgers on poppy seed buns with fresh cut fries and a great beer selection. Beer specials only $1.99. IMHO, this is the best location for the chain.
Food was delicious and the cashier was helpful and friendly. They did have good service and price was fair for the the size of the meal, the burgers is what they recommend for first timers since thats there specialty. Will return!

Everyone who has been living in San Antonio for a while knows what I am talking about, Chester's is a great place if you want are craving for an amazing cheese burger and shake. I happened to be here for lunch here with a local friend of mine, who told me this place is pretty old and has won many best burger awards. When you walk in, it gives you that feeling of being in a old diner at once, they have old cola advertisement for display and such. Nevertheless I ordered bacon cheese burger with chocolate shake and onion rings. The lady who takes the order is super friendly and very cool. The Patty is medium done and is very juicy. The onion rings were crisp to the perfection. This will be my new benchmark for the onion ring crispness, haha. But overall it's a really good place if you wanna eat here for lunch or after hours because they have a good selection of beer too. Definitely recommended for people new to San Antonio and wanna try something similar to five guys but with better ambiance.
The burger at Chester's was juicy and full of flavor, the green chile gave it a bit of a bite in the taste, the veggies they put on the burger were fresh and crisp, and the poppy seed bun held together very well with the juicy burger patty. Along with a great selection of cold bottled beer, I was thoroughly happy with the burger at Chester's Hamburger Company. It's a step up from the very good burgers at Whataburger. Plus they have beer!
Lt was expensive. We went there to meet with my son's basketball team. The food was good, but I thought overpriced for what you got. Did not care for the environment. Don't plan on going back.
Made to order. Everytime we go in, greeted with courtesy and everything is made to order. Fries are great. Cheeseburger are made with LOTS of cheese. When we go to chesters, we always have a great time
Great burgers! The best bottled beer selection in town; Staff is courteous and efficient; Dining room is pristine; The specialty is the Green chile cheese burger with bacon! Stuffed jalapeños with pimento cheese are very tasty and not too hot (just right); Never had a bad meal at Chester's. they are great! Enjoy!

1950's Sci-Fi Remake. Do you remember the black and white Sci-Fi movie from the 50's titled the Incredible Shrinking Man . . . well, I think I found the sequel . . . the Incredible Shrinking Burger Patty! It may just be my imagination, or it could be that I have found other burger joints that now serve a hamburger that actually has a thick meat patty you can really sink your teeth into.
I used to thoroughly enjoy Chester's, but as of late, and for either of the aforementioned reasons, it seems like I am biting into a salad bar when I have one of their burgers. Sure I could order a double meat patty burger, but the single is not exactly cheap to begin with. I could also order a naked burger without any lettuce, tomato, onions, or pickles, but what's the point then. The flavor of the meat by itself is good, and the rest of the burger accouterments are fresh . . . I will give it that. I still like the place and have eaten here for over 20 years. It's just when I am craving a nice thick, juicy burger, I no longer think of Chester's and their flat third inch thick patty. It's become a choice far down the list for me now considering what is available in the same price range from other stores and food trucks.

First time eating here since moving from San Antonio 25 years ago, and it's still great. Got the regular burger all the way with onion rings and stuffed jalapenos. Mom got the green chile cheeseburger. Best hamburger I've had in years. I wish we had a Chester's in Austin.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chester's Hamburgers again.
The burger itself is a delicious masterpiece. The patty was perfectly cooked to juicy perfection, and the bacon added an extra layer of smoky goodness that complemented the cheddar cheese flawlessly. The poppy seed bun is always a unique touch but you can also get it on Texas toast.
The crispy, hand-cut french fries that accompanied it were simply outstanding. Each fry had a satisfying crunch on the outside while remaining fluffy on the inside. They were seasoned to perfection, providing a burst of flavor with every bite. It's clear that Chester's understands the art of making the perfect fry.
Furthermore, the service at Chester's was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving.
Can't wait to come back for more!
Local Chain. Busy burger joint and it's been around awhile. You won't leave hungry that is for sure. Service is pleasant and the portions are good. Easy to get to so If you're blowing through town and need a burger, this is it.
An amazing burger! It's pretty on par with 5 guys burgers. You get plenty of tasty food for what you get. Great place
First time trying Chester’s and will definitely be back! Everything was clean and the restaurant comfortably situated for plenty of seating and space.The staff was very friendly, quick and attentive. Ordered burgers and fries. The sweet tea was fresh and on point, always so thankful for that as it’s easy to go bad. I didn’t order anything alcoholic this time but there are lots of beer choices to pair with your food! The food did not take long at all considering my wife and I came in at a rush. It was hot and fresh, cooked perfectly and came out with a great presentation, well done kitchen! These are huge burgers and the tasty poppy seed buns hold it all perfectly with the toppings placed just right to get the perfect bite all the way through, no toppings sliding off! You can’t beat big portions and high quality. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
Very nice place, very quite and calm. Was able to sit and have brunch, with out feeling rushed. Very clean. The service was excellent and they where on point.
I'll definitely be going back. I didn't know I liked onion rings that much until I tried chesters had to get a extra order. The double cheese burger was perfect.
Double burger Sunday and a vanilla malt shake. Pretty good burger, bun was a bit big for me. Sunday was fine and milkshakes good too.. ice cream had a smooth velvet texture to it. Service was super friendly.
DELICIOUS. I passed this location every morning for a year before I stopped in and I am so disappointed about that. Best burgers in town, possibly some of the best burgers I have ever had. From the buns to the pickles, everything is top quality. GO if you want a great burger!
Great meal! Moderate priced. Ordered grilled chicken salad with Greek Feta cheese dressing, wings, fries, chili cheese burger and two teas for $33. Free refills on the teas and sodas. Burger was delicious. Wings were tasty and not greasy. We'll definitely be back!
