I recently visited the Mixtli restaurant and was delighted with the original presentation of dishes. The atmosphere of the establishment is very cozy, and the friendly staff does their job quickly and efficiently. The menu offers a variety of Mexican dishes, which were all very tasty. Each dish is simply a masterpiece! The prices are slightly above average, however, the quality of the food and the level of service fully justify the cost. I recommend Mixtli to anyone who wants to get acquainted with Mexican cuisine in an unusual and interesting performance.

THE place in San Antonio for an unforgettable culinary experience. Their current menu “1879- The Present” , which just debuted for Hispanic Heritage Month, features recipes from the famous UTSA Libraries Cookbook collections. Each of the 10 courses of the menu were beautifully explained by our waiter, and perfectly paired by their sommelier. My favorite four courses were the Farm Egg, the Xoconostle aguachile, The braised beef check with Tamarind Mole and the Frenched Rack of Lamb. The Mixtli team never disappoints and is always a great place to share a memorable meal with friends. Can’t wait to come back!!

Having gone to many michellin star restaurants, Mixtli surpasses many of them. If this was located in New York they would definitely receive a star. We came for a transition menu of Guatemalan cuisine and learned quite a bit from the dishes. From the Korean influence and use of vegetables, every dish was a hit. A rarity where there is usually one dish where the chef is a little too avant garde, but Mixtli knows how to prepare a tasting menu. I'll definitely come back on my next trip to San Antonio. Top 5 meals ever and my partners best meal!

If I could, I'd give it 100 jalapeños! I love everything about the dining experience. We enjoyed the 10 course experience. The flavors and presentation were wonderful. I enjoyed the history of every dish served. The staff were pleasant and well coming. I love the attention to detail from the food to decor throughout the restaurant and bar down to the restrooms. The bartender mixed a personalized drink for me with bubbles with was divine. I don't normally like mezcal, but I took a sip of my cousins drinks, and they were actually well balanced and drinks I'd actually drink. Next time I'm in town, we'll be bringing our moms to experience this beautiful place and new seasonal menu.

I wish I could give this restaurant more stars. It is for sure on my all-time favorites list. The best way to describe the delicious food is to quote my husband, "There's a carnival going on in my mouth!" You sit amongst the kitchen and watch the orchestrated plates come out. From the first to the last bite, the flavors that were created here were like none other I've ever had. And complementing the food, Hailey paired the perfect wines. Wow! Rico and Diego have outdone themselves. Well worth every penny you spend. I can't wait to visit again! Thank you for the fun night!

Best restaurant in San Antonio. A true fine dining experience in a city full of chains. The courses were all tasty, some were very creative, others were spins on traditional dishes. The meal took almost 3hrs, but the time flew. Service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was pleasant. If you like good food, missing Mixtli would be a mistake.

Fine dining with a casual flair. Tasting menu style dining sounds bougie but the place evokes comfort and chill vibes. But please do dress up a bit to show some respect. $$$ but completely worth every cent. Menu changes every 3-4 months? Currently menu takes inspiration from the Yucatan cuisine and how it was influenced by its trading partners from the middle to far east. Reservations are must through a ticket purchased via link on their website. So yes you prepay, wine pairing and coffee service extra. Gratuities will be included. They have a seperate bar where you can chill while waiting for your table. Their house cocktails are definitely an experience in itself. Go now.

This place is absolutely amazing, and well worth the price! The presentation was immaculate and flavors were exquisite. The drinks here were also well balanced and flavorful. With every dish they brought out, the chefs explained the composition, history and inspiration behind every dish. Chef Rico and staff were all very personable and exhude a passion and attention to detail for their craft, which shows up in every dish. Make sure to add coffee service to your ticket.

First time coming here and what a delight!!! We got to have a taste of Oaxaca (they change regions every 3 months) and it was delicious!!! It was a 10 course meal and we chose the wine pairing with it. The size of the restaurant is perfect for my taste. It is on the smaller side and you get more personalized attention. They have an open kitchen concept so you can see all the chefs prepping your meal. One thing I loved was that the chefs come to your table and explain each dish and its ingredients and where they come from. The service was great and we cannot wait to go back!
