Love it!! We stopped for lunch by the river at Republic of TX! The tables are right on the river with fans overhead! The view was beautiful and the food was amazing! Everything was done well, the server was fabulous, and the manager was outstanding! I’m allergic to garlic, but they have a fresh kitchen, and they were very accommodating! They even made me French Fries without using the fryer! Tonya is amazing!! Thanks for an amazing experience and meal; it was delicious!! �
Our server Paul was the bomb! Great personality. Even though we weren’t eating he tried his best to upsell. The margarita turned into a Golden, the Crown turned into a double, etc. Wish I could bring him back to my restaurant in Wisconsin- Re-Pete’s Saloon & Grill. Nice being able to sit near the river and people watch.
Returned to eat dinner later because of our first visit- Paul had just left so we lucked out by having “the old lady” Cindy. She did a superb job with our table of 10. Everyone enjoyed the food. Even picked up some of their signature hot sauce for the trip home.
I came in here towards the end of the night and got a couple of drinks. The drinks were good, service was good, music was good but loud (understandable because they had a DJ), and they're right on the Riverwalk so it was very peaceful!
The staff was friendly and we were seated right away. The wait staff patiently explained some items we had questions about. Good quesadilla with ground beef and mom enjoyed her chicken fried steak, hugh portion and she could not finish
Valerie was a great waitress. It had a Good atmosphere. Happy hour specials were great. And karaoke was fun.good place to spend a few hours with the friends. Good food too.
We tried the cheese quesadillas, veggie enchiladas, fiesta enchilada, chips and salsa and texas siders and all the items were great in taste. The service was courteous and fast, given that it was Saturday afternoon, and the ambience and location is also great as this is located at the riverwalk.
Right on the water, funny waiter! The food was actually very good - not sure where all the reviews are coming from? Awesome margaritas. Enchiladas with chili gravy were a hit. And where else can you get fajita potato skins? Highly recommended. Chicken picante -perfect. Kids meal taco with rice was completely finished. We will come back again.
Good burgers. Would like to sit by the river but it was 105 degrees. Solution.. R O T's air conditioned upper (enclosed) patio. Great view AND climate control. Burgers were good not great and service was fast and friendly. Would definitely eat there again.
It was decent. Nothing to really write home about. The food was similar in quality to generic restaurants, but majorly under-seasoned. I had a chicken fiesta sandwich which was cooked well, but lacked any sort of standout flavor.
Not a bad place to eat, but I wouldn't specifically go back for any particular reason. Don't let that turn you away if you want to try it though. It wasn't bad, just ok.
Their pollo rojo was really good! The red sauce that came with it had a lot of flavor in it. Beans were a bit dry and the menu was very small but overall pretty good food.
Nice and relaxing! I always sit outside by the river. Service is so-so as well as the food. The drinks are pretty good. As with most places on the Riverwalk you are there for the atmosphere.
Visiting for my husband's AF BMT grad- we mostly ate here because my family was hungry and didn't want to walk farther. Not extraordinary- best thing I tried was the appetizer nachos with both beef and BBQ. I still enjoyed my time because my airman was there!! It's not a horrible place.... Just not anything special! :)
Oh my goodness, i've been coming here for so long with my family, and today we returned! Greeted at the front entrance by Genesis, who would actually turn out to be our server. I've always enjoyed the ribeye, so that's what my son and I got! Melts in your mouth and served hot to enjoy the water, which provides a little cooler atmosphere should you choose to sit outside. Melissa, the manager of the restaurant was very kind and had a handle on things. Special thanks to Genesis for the awesome table service and attention to our needs as we ate. We'll see you guys very soon! Thanks again 👍
Sat at a table right beside the Riverwalk and was a great spot to camp out for lunch and drinks. Burger was good but nothing special. Their specialty Margarita was really good, though. I feel the seating outside and drinks are their specialty. Great service. Chips and Salsa good too.

We had an awesome evening here and Manager totally took time to make sure all was good as well as waiter! Loved the atmosphere and felt the "history" in this historic restaurant/building! Definitely a need to visit location!
This was had a menu that had comfort food, burgers, and some Mexican entrées. It had a big menu and lots to choose from. We did not like our location of the table very much. It was right by the bathrooms, and when people walk in and out, we can smell it. Our server was very nice and friendly. And got everything we needed. It was busy, so she didn't stop by very often. I asked for a pitcher of water for the table, and she was able to get that for us even though it was not part of the routine.

Wonderful riverwalk restaurant on the river. Awesome location, awesome service in a noisy challenging environment ( lots of people walking by). Awesome drinks and entertainment. Would recommend to everyone. Will go back. 👍
I had the best experience at the river walk today I came to the Republic of Texas and the manager Al was very nice and took care of us. Our service was 10 out of 10 and he make sure we’re taken care of. I would recommend this place to anybody special lily the customer service is outstanding the food was great I highly recommend. The food was great. The service was great. The drinks were great. I have nothing bad to say please come see these people Yay😍😀😋
Food was hot and delicious and the view of the Riverwalk was super from the private room in the back. Loved it, can’t wait to visit again. Was a little shocked that the drink was $20, but that was my fault for not asking ahead of time. Great service!

What a tremendous establishment. The food and ombiance was great. The setting of this restaurant is literally on the riverwalk. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a full bar, clean bathrooms and top notch service led by Mr. Victor. William, the owner was also very personable and friendly. I will definitely be back!
Just stopped at Republic of Texas because it had great seating on the Riverwalk. Can't say enough great things about this place. Service was wonderful. Our server, Lillian, was great at giving suggestions, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we asked for. The food was great and the servings were huge. We are only in San Antonio for the day, but we will definitely eat here again if we visit again

We (my family) stopped in here looking for a fun time and good dinner. We were lucky enough to sit right on the edge of the river walk because the dining room was closed for a private event.
The food was delicious and it was fun to sit by the river. The service was ok. Our server said she was new, which explained some of the funny things she did while serving, but overall she took good care of us.
I had the enchiladas verdes and my wife enjoyed the cilantro chicken breast. She usually tastes my dinner and is disappointed with her choice, but this time she didn’t want me to have a taste of her’s because it was so good. Which it definitely was! The enchiladas were also delicious and the portions of everything were very generous!
My two girls both got the kids Mac and cheese, that they promptly ate and loved.
My only complaint would be that the quality of the chips didn’t match the quality of the salsa. The salsa was great! It had a good flavor and spiciness level. The chips seemed like the cheapest kind you would get from the grocery store that were stale. But, I still ate them like I was never going to see chips and salsa ever again in my life.
The restrooms were clean and presentable, and from what I saw of the inside of the restaurant it seemed like it would be a fun place to enjoy.
