It was after church today, my wife asked me if I'd like to go to our regular lunch spot in the neighborhood. Normally I'd have said yes but I had spoken to my physical therapist this week (she's helping me recover from a broken knee and shattered tibia) and we'd traded back and forth places each of us has tried. My physical therapist mentioned Julian's Italian Pizzeria & Kitchen. I hadn't been to it. Today was my opportunity to suggest Julian's to my wife and so we both dined there in the early afternoon.
We entered the restaurant and found it to be near packed with customers on a Sunday afternoon. A near packed place with customers is a very good sign. We placed our order and sat at a table they'd picked out for us. Both of us chose the slice of pizza, salad and drink lunch special for under $10 each. I liked the atmosphere which set the tone in a positive way for me.
The salad arrived at our table first and I was super happy I opted for their house Italian dressing on the salad. I'm usually a ranch dressing type guy but when I heard they had their own house Italian dressing then it was a must for me. Loved the dressing, the fresh salad ingredients and the portion size. Speaking of portion, that slice of pizza was huge!!! It was the size of an entire small pizza. I only managed to finish half of it but I'm not complaining at all. Now I have lunch ready for Monday thanks to the carryout container they kindly supplied to me.
The pizza slice? I loved the crispy crust which has a crunch when you bite into it. Loved the ingredients which I should note allows for two toppings on the lunch special. I opted for pepperoni and mushrooms. My wife and I agreed that we will definitely be coming here more often.
Who did I see? Entire families including kids under ten years old, older AARP aged couples, younger couples on dates and the two of us (which includes a self employed person himself).
Support small business as often as you are able.

The MOST special thing about Juliana, is that you know.........they care about me and my family. They are such caring people. All the staff knows everyone and truly cares.
Then, the awesome & incredible food and their house wine.

Food was fresh tasting, but the soda choices could be better. We tried a Stromboli & pasta. Would definitely recommend the Stromboli!!! It tasted freshly made with a perfectly golden brown crust & a good amount of meats and cheese inside. The sauce was bursting with flavor. The Stromboli was so delicious I will go back for another one & another one & another one. Pepperoni rolls are another favorite of mine here. Some of the other dishes are ok, but not as special as the Stromboli that one is a must order! Enjoy!
Everyone was very nice. Ordering was very efficient. They had our table ready for our seating. Food very good.
Although I wish this was more of a full service restaurant we sido have an amazing meal. I ordered the cheese ravioli with meat sauce and they were to die for. Husband had the regatona and it was extremely delicious as well, my daughter had a butter garlic pasta and she liked it also. This recipes could easily be in a fine dining restaurant (which I hope someday happens) as I would’ve loved more of that style service with such an amazing meal. Wine selection was also good.
Chef's kiss. Bread makes this pizza, not too heavy, not too light. Had the 12 inch pepperoni and margherita. Great undercarriage. Fresh ingredients. Recommend the caprese salad as well, the balsamic was delicious, drizzled it over the margherita. Pizza sauce was tasty, we got extra for the pizza. Mozzarella sticks were very good as well. Shout out to Alyssa at the front. Thank you for the hospitality! Extra stars if possible.
Pizza was phenomenal, would have loved if it had just a little more crisp to it but i’ll just have to ask for it to be cooked a little more next time. Place was very busy so it took a bit for the food to come out but nothing unreasonable for how packed it was! Service was great, pizza was great and at a great price, will definitely come back!
Food was great. The person that greated us seemed to have a little attitude like I knew that I had to order from the counter. I had asked did we just go take a seat, he said no and then tapped on and pointed to the counter. Never said that is where I placed my order but I eventually figured it out. Mentioned to him I had never been there before, his attitude changed slightly trying to make menu recommendations. The pizza was great though.
One of my top 3 favorite Italian restaurants in SA. Julian's I have to say is the most consistent tasting Italian restaurant I've ever been to. They take pride in quality and consistency. The lunch specials are the best in SA and are offered everyday, which is rare to find nowadays. The lasagna and the spaghetti & meatballs are the bomb. My personal favorite is the pepperoni spaghetti. The staff is very attentive and management interacts with customers thanking them and making sure they are being properly served. A very Highly Recommend Italian Restaurant. The IG Foodies never seem to promote this restaurant, but with true customer word of mouth, who needs them anyway. As a true customer, I'm telling you this place is great!!!!
Great service and friendly staff. Depending on what you order, things can be a hit or miss. Definitely recommend their calzone, but would not order the cheese bread again, it was literally cheese on top of bread....lol. Overall coyld be improved but worth a stop if in the area
This place was really cool! Reminded of when I was a kid with my grandparents! Eating great Italian food with Patsy Cline playing in the background. The staff was nice and quick to get food out to the table. Lots of locals eating at this restaurant. You can tell people love this place!!! We will be back for sure!
Order prior to sitting down. The staff seemed really friendly and sat our large party down fairly quickly. The food came out hot and never have disappointed. I would recommend trying their food. Their marinera is excellent.
