It’s been probably over 10 years since we last visited Salsalitos and that in itself is a shame because this restaurant deserves more visits for sure. We would for sure if it weren’t for the fact that we live out of state now. Regardless, our recent visit was just as good as our last; if not better. Like fine wine, Salsalitos has aged well. The food, service and overall experience just seems so much better than we recall. We’ll most certainly try harder to make time for a much sooner return visit.

Great service. My husband & I came here Sunday afternoon for lunch. It was fairly busy, but the service was on point. Our waitress was very friendly and she took good care of us, ensuring we had all we needed throughout our visit. I ordered crispy tacos & my husband ordered beef enchiladas a la Carte. It was delicious & good portion sizes. So if you're craving good ol Mexican food, we recommend you give Salsalitos a try!

I really liked my lunch today! I had cheese enchiladas with beef crispy tacos. I'm really picky about enchilada sauce, as I hate the soupy brown sauce some places make, but Salsalitos did not make their enchiladas with that. It was a very good meat enchilada sauce; the corn tortillas were cooked (not dry), and the cheese on top was a good amount. The beef in the tacos was good, not bland, and the taco shell was crispy. The borracho beans were unexpectedly spicy and I could not eat them. It was a very good lunch and I will be back!

I went in this morning at it opened. It was quiet, but I got my breakfast to go. I come here from Kyle, because my daughter loves this place. Especially your fresh flour tortillas. They are definitely a go-to. Meli was really nice and sweet. She formally introduced herself to me and said she'd take care of my daughter and I when we come in to dine next time.
Thank you for making my solo trip a special one.

Sensational meal tonight at Salsalitos Cantina! Delicious queso, warm tortilla chips, outstanding burrito with REAL chicken strips, and yummy quesadilla with ground beef. Huge portions-too much to eat at one time leaving another meal for another day. We'll be back!
Finished up the meal with cheesecake with a cherry on top.
Servers, helpers, and management all over the place to ensure a good experience. Friendly folks!

Food was good, prices were fair. Our waiter at the bar was helpful in ordering. We were split between items, and he custom ordered plates for us. Mine was the choice between cheese and chicken mole enchiladas. He ordered me a #1 special plate with 1 cheese and 1 mole enchilada, a tamale and a crispy beef taco. My friends was debating trying the bacon wrapped shrimp, so he added 2 of them as a side. I suggested to my friend the tortilla soup as well, which many have reviewed and commented was very good, he agreed with the reviews.
The chicken mole enchiladas were on the sweeter side compared to the dozens of places I've had them before, not the sweetest I've had, but pretty up there. The shredded chicken inside them however was a bit lacking flavor wise. The bacon wrapped jalapenos were spicy and unless you love heat, a full order is probably impossible to eat on your own as an appetizer.
I've eaten here before, but it had been several years since my last visit, decided to give it another go, since San Antonio is full of Mexican restaurants. Overall not a bad experience, I would go back to try some more items.

Ordered catering/food to go for 50 people. Rice, refried beans, guacamole, tortillas, and chips. All of it was delicious and our guests kept raving about the food. Ordering was easy. Pick up was smooth. Price was very reasonable. Would definitely consider using them again for large orders.

The fajitas were the most tender I've ever had, but the flavor wasn't my thing. The manager stated they use a variety of seasonings to marinate the fajitas, but it probably shouldn't be used as their seasoning. Overall though it was pretty good for our first visit.

Haven't been here in a while but they did not disappoint. Wait staff was fast and attentive. Food was served piping hot and was delicious as always. Only complaint I would have on whole meal was the salsa was a little heavy on the garlic. Other than that , would recommend it to anyone. Wife had puffy tacos and I had the crispy tacos. Photo is of their desert offerings. Unfortunately we didn't have room.

Food was amazing! Waitress took forever to come and ask for the order. Then once the food came she never came back to check on us. I was sucking on ice when I ran out of water until I left. My friend wanted a drink besides water, but she never came back. Then he had to flag her down to get the check. 🙄

Came here after my mother's funeral for a late lunch with my children. The food was great and very reasonable. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kind. Thank you for a great dining experience.

First time here had a great experience. The service was fast as we sat the chips and salsa were put on table ,our cups never emptied. Not only was the michilada delicious all I paid for was the beer really. Food came out fast and the best part was when the waitress brought to go box. She also brought me a to go cup to for the michilada . Made my day. I will definitely be coming back.

Salsalitos Cantina Mexican Restaurant is aver nice place to visit for a great meal. We visited for a family celebration and had a great time. The food quick and hot as well as a good price. I had a Chicken Chimichanga, it was a nice portion and great tasting. This is a place that we will be returning to time and time again.

Along with the great atmosphere, the prices are inexpensive! I went with my girlfriend and her mom today and it was very affordable for the 3 of us.
I highly recommend this place to everyone who hasn’t gone!

We only get to eat at Salsalitos when we come to San Antonio. Sadly, the location near my sister was closed several years ago. We made the journey to this location and it was well worth the drive!! Wonderful food and service!! Large beautiful building with plenty of parking. Will definately be back when in the area!!

First time visiting and the everything was amazing. The restaurant was very clean, staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I had their steak and eggs breakfast and the steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. I cannot wait to come back for lunch/dinner with friends. I will be recommending this place to them!

What's wrong with this place? Let me put it in list form:
-The salsa tastes like spaghetti sauce with some Mexican spices mixed in. The stuff doesn't even look appetizing.
-The seafood enchiladas taste like Velveeta and the white wine sauce desperately needs cilantro. Or jalapenos. Just something with discernible flavor would be nice, really.
-Speaking of cilantro, you can barely taste it in the cilantro sauce used in the pollo enrollado.
-The rice and beans are impressively bland. I don't think the borracho beans have enough flavor to even qualify as borracho beans.
-The warm flour tortillas manage to be both crispy and chewy. They taste old.
The service was decent but that can't make up for horrible food. There is no excuse for a Tex-Mex restaurant this bad in San Antonio, especially at $9+ per plate. Go to Bandera Jalisco or even Los Generales instead.

A little pricey for someone who frequents SW side restaurants however well worth the price. Excellent service, ambiance, and food. Linen napkins! I had the beef Chile Relleno. It was the best. I want to go back again for another Chile Relleno. My wife's chalupa did not have a crisp tortilla like I would expect and the frijoles refritos were a little bland. I have been here before and I will be back again. They have my absolute recommendation as a place to dine.

The only problem at Salsalito's was their red sauce. It was like tomato sauce with cilantro, onions, and a little pepper. The food was tremendous, the prices fair, and the service from Chontay was excellent. We will definitely be back again. Great atmosphere and much cooler than outside. It may be a small point to some of you, but my tea glass never got below half way.

Yes we celebrated my sons birthday there last night, and the food was superb 👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾 The drinks were very good ... and our waitress Chante’ was so awesome she was really good . She never let our glasses get empty (Water)

The absolute best food in a beautiful, authentic atmosphere. You can see a manager on the floor at all times, and the staff is attentive and helpful. Wonderful bar, and I love the Mexican seafood selections!

Can’t comprehend these bad reviews. Been going here since they opened. We are always greeted by friendly hostess, seated and the chips and salsa are on the table as soon as we are seated. Wait staff are great - efficient and courteous. We love the red salsa and food is delicious always. Have to say, favorite server is Kenneth. Just wish the Margaritas had more tequila in them. Best tortillas. Will be there for brunch tomorrow.

I was raised in San Antonio, and we have different type of Mexico restaurants in SA. This one is what we refer to as a western cowboy cantina restaurant....food will be more mild, northern California chimichanga style...nothing wrong with that �

The food was great. We love going there on our Friday night date nights. The staff is always great. Our waiter was nice and I liked that when I need some more to drink I didn't need to ask he just came to our table with a full glass.
