Food was actually good, was hoping the salad with shrimp would be bigger due to price. Our son loved the atmosphere ☺️ the wait time to sit ended up being only 10 min. Instead of 25 min. So that was awesome 👍 the wait time for appetizer and food to come out took awhile though.

The food was not too bad there. But, we are here for the atmosphere. The rainforest atmosphere would give kids life long exciting experiences. The artificial moving animals would go in a cycle of every 20-30 minutes. My kids were excited to take pictures with them, too. Of course the staff were nice, too. Overall, I would definitely bring your family there for at least once.

You have to really expect a wait time here. A lot of people love this place and are interested in it. Service is a little slow, but again, this place is busy. This restaurant was open on Thanksgiving! We were very far from home and our airmen just graduated basic military training. This restaurant was open. So I can say nothing bad about them. Happy Thanksgiving!

This place was so fun for my daughter! The food was great as well. Pricey but well worth the experience. Service was a little slow but everyone was extremely friendly and accomodating! If you have very small children the "thunderstorms" that occur every 15 minutes may be a bit overwhelming. My daughter was 8 though and absolutely loved it and the animated animals. We would definitely come back here!

After deciding to take a family trip downtown we walked by the rainforest Cafe and the kiddos had been asking to go, so we decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did.
There was a slight wait as it was busy but they conveniently have a nice bar downstairs with drinks not just for adults but cool little frog cup slushes for the kids. The bartender made the wait seem like 5 minutes instead of 30. She was absolutely awesome.
The whole vibe was great. The staff were all super polite and accommodating of my kids wanting to explore. The food was much better than I thought it would be for a restaurant like this. Every 30 minutes or so they have a thunderstorm and all the animals move and lights flash. Another great thing that shows care is we saw the manager Gary walking around and interacting with not just us but all the customers ensuring a great experience.
In summary, if you have kiddos then this is the spot for you. Even if you don't then just enjoy the bar downstairs lol.

Situated right there on the river walk! Got sat with the gorillas. thunderstorm every 20ish minutes, scares the kids, so that’s good! Nacho appetizer was okay but not good for the price. Drinks are served in souvenir glasses which you can exchange for clean ones to take home. Has some nice fish tanks around. Clean restrooms!

The location here is wonderful, and it features outdoor seating on the riverwalk! It was cold and rainy the night we went, so we sat inside. This location is showing it's age a bit, but was unique in being three stories and having a lower than usual ceiling.
The grouper was excellent, which was honestly a little unexpected. Great service from everyone, super friendly.

The female hostess was rude and our waiter never came to sing happy Birthday to our guess from out of state , the management seemed to have it together the food was hot and fresh and the drinks were good with cups you can take home

This was the first time taking my family to the rainforest Cafe, that atmosphere was fun for everyone, especially our 5-year-old son. The wait staff was excellent. Food was great and the prices were definitely reasonable for being on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. I definitely would go back.

Sept 13 2023 Service was awesome. Our waiter was very attentive. We went for our daughter's bday after school. Got her the volcano cake. Staff sang happy bday. Food was great. Animatronics were all working. The tiger scared me lol. Great place for the family. Manager came out to greet us. Clean facility.

Long wait. Lots to see! Menu is overpriced, but you're paying for the experience that is great! The waiter was a hit or miss. He wasn't very attentive, and it took my daughter 30 minutes for a childs drink that he had forgotten several times. The order was wrong and incomplete, but the food was good. The atmosphere itself is an experience that was worth the money to spend at least once!

Will not be going back to this establishment. We waited 1 1/2 hrs to get tables, we were party of 11 adults n 7kids (2 needing a high chair). The wait was understandable being Sunday n before 4th of July holiday but then from time we got seated to getting our food was almost 2 hrs n the waiter kept disappearing. We had to look around the empty tables for ketchup n extra napkins. Also we payed almost $70 for drinks, never did waiter mention if we ordered the strawberry lemonade we were forcefully buying souvenir cups. Like we needed 8 rainforest cups. Food was cold, guess they waited for all to be ready to bring out, my husband asked for water bc the strawberry lemonade was super extra sweet n he wanted to add some water but the waiter never brought it. To top everything we were celebrating 2 bdays that day n they came, sang n brought to cupcskes which by the way they charged at $1.99 each. Wow will definitely not be going back also they never found my membership/loyalty number for my rewards.

Got there and asked for a table and was told the wait was 45min to an hr. 2 hrs later we are seated and waitress takes our drink order and does not return. After about 45 mins we went and asked for a high chair with another waitress and asked about our drinks and then had to wait another while until they finally brought the drinks. Food was waaaaay overpriced and def not worth it. We will never go back or recommend to anyone.

Our server was very nice and as attentive as she could be considering how busy she was, but the $20 Pastalaya I ordered was barely worth half the price paid. It was extremely bland and seemed to be missing something. In fact, most of the food and drinks seemed a bit overpriced, but I guess they have to pay the electric bill with the animal theatrics (which we all found a little creepy) and the sound effects. Of course, to each his own, but we probably won't visit again.

Slow! Being a holiday week, I could understand but we had 2 toddlers and several tables around us arrived after us and recieved their food before us. We didn't order anything difficult, mostly burgers, chicken, and fries. Our waitor disappeared and didn't come back much. Took over 3 hours to be seated and to eat. There was 6 people total and there was plenty of empty tables when we were seated. I think they must have been under staffed. I never once saw anyone who could have been management in those 3 hours.
Food was ok but not worth $90 for lunch.

The food was good, but the service was horrible. We made reservations and when we walked up to the hostess stand the two hostesses were having a personal conversation and ignored us. I finally had to say "excuse me" to get their attention. Our waitress was apparently too busy for us she came to our table only 3 times. Once to take our order, once to refill our drinks and once to give us the check. Very disappointed because it is a really neat place.

The food was less than average. I ordered the fish & chips and the fish was not good. The breading was very over crispy that I think I chipped a tooth. The fries were cold and the tarter sauce tasted old. There were six adults and one child in our party and they were not very impressed with the food either. Some of your employees need to work on their customer service skills, but our waiter, was very professional and on top of things.

First time there, very friendly staff. It was our anniversary and they treated us like royalty and we even got these cool frog hats lol. Overall it was unique and the food was delicious. I suggest y’all give it a try.

We waited over a hour for our table with 2 children under two years , a three, snd 9 year old, our sever was ok, food was not good and was very overpriced!! Have eaten at Restaurant in California and San Antonio, will not eat there again!

2hr wait for starters. Not impressed with the environment. Food was way overpriced for what it was. Food was not hot. By the time we did sit down, it took another 30 minutes for the food to come out. Not an attraction worth going to.
