Cascabel Mexican Patio - San Antonio - Photo album

It was my first time trying Birria Soup made with goat meat. The desserts were a great finish, and overall, I am satisfied.
Grateful to have a stumbled on this place! The food was delightful and authentic. Loved the blue corn chips and salsas too but unfortunately they do charge for them not a huge deal but kinda a bummer since most places serve them as a courtesy. The service was attentive, helpful, and pleasant. We wil
Fantastic lunch! Servers were excellent and personable. Homemade soup was very good. Pork and chicken dishes were awesome. The beans were the best I ever had. The cold salad (looks like green beans) is not something I would normally eat but was good. Highly recommend.
Amazing Mexican Food! I had the Cochinita Pibil Huaraches, it was phenomenal. The house soup that came with it was exactly what I needed to warm up and the salsas were the right type of spicy. The restaurent is also VERY cute.
Great authentic Mexican food. The flavors are authentic, just like Mexican homemade food. The cafe de olla was perfect, really recommend it. I had the machacada plate and it was good, the meat was not salty like other restaurants. I enjoyed this spot very much. Recommended if you are looking for aut
This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to in San Antonio. The wait staff is so amazing 🤩 I have been to Cascabel since I was a baby and I have always enjoyed their enchiladas. (This was written by my 8 year old daughter ❤️)
Cafe de ollo was delicious! Great spot for brunch. Very attentive staff. Seating indoor and outdoor available. Paid parking was available in the lot next door for $10. Was able to handle dietary restrictions like vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
Patio is nice and fresh. Pozole and Caldo Tlalpeño were great. One disappointment was the agua the Jamaica, it was closer to purple kool-aid (very sweet and very little Jamaica flavor) but at least it kids really like it. Bathrooms need a little love.
Nice place for a tasty snack. Service was quick, portions a little on the small side. Very tasty though, if you just want a small, tasty quick bite.
Cozy place with big flavors and big outdoor patio! I ordered a birria (goat) soup ($12.50), because, well, it was cloudy and the weather called for it. The soup bowl was loaded with meat! Add a side of home made corn tortillas, a bit of cilantro, onion and a squeeze of lime and honestly, probably o
OH my gosh!!! This restaurant is by far one of my top places in San Antonio. The food is so good so many flavors. It’s consistent, the service is awesome, friendly and respectful above all. We definitely we be coming back on our next trip. We had the Choriqueso tacos , Torta de asada and Enmoladas
I'd been really wanting some good authentic tacos, and Cascabel's met that need. The fresh blue corn chips and salsa were quite nice to eat while I waited for the tacos. I offered a bistek, cochinita pibil, tinga, and puerco a la cascabel, and each was amazing, though those last two were my favorite
Legit local Mexican joint. Birria soup was hearty and warm to your soul…clearly hours of cooking with spices and bone-in goat.(add the lime juice and extra onions, cilantro and Serrano peppers for the full effect) Make me wanna try out other dishes. Guac and chips was ok but the amount of guac was
Pork,, Puerco Cascabel The portion is a bit small but the flavor is fantastic. I Would definitely be coming back and trying different items on this menu A great place for a nice meal out on the patio even in a hot day it was quite comfortable
*UPDATE 12 /06/19* Still an amazing place. This is the place to go and it's close to the Riverwalk, but blows that food out of the water. The restroom is fixed now. Lol! Just a wonderful wonderful place. The atmosphere is cozy and beautiful. Colors everywhere and tastefully done. The patio is beauti
This place went above and beyond my experience in little hole in the wall restaurants. They serve mexican food, delicious and authentic! I ordered the tortas and it was made to perfection! There aren't a lot of options for very picky toddlers, really tue only thing kid friendly is the quesadilla whi
This is a Mexican restaurant. Mexican, not tex mex. Expect Central Mexican style meals and sauces such as in the cochinita pibil and tasted in the earthy low heat salsas. That said, it is fantastic! Try the pastor, pibil, and tinga. Come appreciate the the sauces and food!
The food feels so authentic and the staff are super friendly and confident. Felt like I was at someones home, our server was Reyes. She was so polite, informative, and funny. I had the chilequiles, the meal came with a fideo soup which felt like home. I also tried the arroz con leche (served hot) wh
