The Cookhouse - San Antonio - Photo album

I am not easily impressed when I eat out. The Cookhouse absolutely blew me away. They greet you at the door, opening it and inviting you in. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our drinks and appetizer, which was the charbroiled oysters, came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Sweet Eme
Jambalaya was cooked perfectly and was put together well. Apps and desserts were highlight of meal for sure. Very creative menu and atmosphere was very traditional NOLA cajun. Was bummed we left while the band was setting up but that wouldve been the cherry on top of a great experience.
We attended Bon Mange on June 28th and it was simply amazing! This might have been the best meal I've ever had coupled with extraordinary service. I definitely recommend The Cookhouse to anyone looking for fine Cajun cuisine. July Update: We attended Bon Mange last night, July 26th and it was utter

The Cookhouse does not disappoint. The wife and I stopped in for lunch and let me tell you what, both the service and food were great. I had the Peacemaker and while I love bacon, it doesn't belong on po' boy, in my opinion. I have no complaints about the sandwich and it was good once I removed the
