I am not easily impressed when I eat out. The Cookhouse absolutely blew me away. They greet you at the door, opening it and inviting you in. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our drinks and appetizer, which was the charbroiled oysters, came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Sweet Emeline, which is their version of a lemon drop. Not very sweet, but the sugar rim helped in that department. Anyway, it took our dinner a minute to come out, but the atmosphere was great so we didn't mind too much. GET THE BBQ SHRIMP!!! Seriously. You won't regret it. It is amazing! We also ordered the black and gold pasta, which was also pretty damn amazing. The staff was amazing, including GM Matthew who came over and personally thanked us for coming out. Shout out to our waitress Skylar as well; she was a gem! I highly recommend you try it out if you haven't.

Jambalaya was cooked perfectly and was put together well. Apps and desserts were highlight of meal for sure. Very creative menu and atmosphere was very traditional NOLA cajun. Was bummed we left while the band was setting up but that wouldve been the cherry on top of a great experience.

We attended Bon Mange on June 28th and it was simply amazing! This might have been the best meal I've ever had coupled with extraordinary service. I definitely recommend The Cookhouse to anyone looking for fine Cajun cuisine. July Update: We attended Bon Mange last night, July 26th and it was utterly spectacular. I cannot recommend the Cookhouse enough.

My husband and I came here for our first anniversary this past weekend. We had been two other times before they remodeled. The new look is very fresh and nice! The food, as always, was delicious - one of a kind. Oysters were on point, both the raw and chargrilled. Boudin balls were a must, and we even asked for extra pickles! We both ordered our entree flounder dish DIRTY... which means it includes BBQ shrimp. Hello, best of both worlds! Our server, Jose, was so much fun and very accommodating. Obviously, we will be back but next time we will specifically request Jose. You have to try this place!

We loved this place. Food. Service. Ambiance. Grrrreat. We'll be back on a Friday ... hoping that someone is jamming on the piano in the corner! We started with drinks and VietCajun Tostada, followed by Shrimp Creole, Pan Seared Bycatch Fish and shared fried green tomatoes ... and inhaled a shared dessert (Chocolat Nouvelle Orleans) , thus no picture. Perfect dinner. Make reservations! (*Note: only beer and wine. Ex. Grapefruit Margherita is not made with tequila.)

Amazing authentic new Orleans restaurant. I had the blackened shrimp and it was seriously amazing. As long as you can handle food to be somewhat spicy this place is the best. I came on a Friday night when they have live jazz with i really enjoyed. Overall highly recommend this place.

The Cookhouse does not disappoint. The wife and I stopped in for lunch and let me tell you what, both the service and food were great. I had the Peacemaker and while I love bacon, it doesn't belong on po' boy, in my opinion. I have no complaints about the sandwich and it was good once I removed the bacon and ate it separately. The french fries were good and seasoned to perfection with a cajun flare. My wife had fried shrimp and the taste buds gave it two thumbs up. The location of the restaraunt is in an up and coming area. It was fairly quiet and low key for a Saturday lunch. Stop in a getcha a taste of LA.
