Went to a SA Blues Society sponsored event called The Robert Johnson Sessions. Turns out he recorded back in the day in SA. Bobby Mack was great with sax player in his band. Van was good and loud like always. Hadn't seen either of these legends in years! Nice intimate venue for music.
Went back for Sue Foley and her band a week before Xmas with my krewe and we upgraded to table seating! Album release party for Live in Austin. Got there a couple hours early to eat in the restaurant and meet up with my running buddies. The band had the same idea, sitting next to us! Food was alright, service was great 👍. It wasn't a packed house for the show, so I got some great pics! Sue signed our posters after the show and brother John got a photo too! Thanks for playing San Antonio Sue with your tight Band!

The old fashioned burgers really good except they need to chop up the lettuce, you take a bite and almost the whole leaf comes out.
The onion rings were gigantic and the fried mushrooms were very tasty and I had to ask for gravy because they gave them to me with ranch dressing. I think when you ordered the fried mushrooms they should ask you if you want ranch dressing or gravy with them.

There are tables available, but GA allows for great views.
Don't be fooled by the "lack of parking" there's is plenty parking in the lot on the other side of Avenue B.
Make sure to try the food, giant burgers and perfect onion rings!!

I visited this venue for the Tropidelic concert. The concert venue was great. I liked the set up - sound quality was perfect. I also liked the raised floor in the back for better viewing of the stage. Also, ate a burger and fried mushrooms beforehand and the food was delicious! The parking garage across the street made for easy parking near the venue and was only $7. There was also street parking, but limited spots for that - so get there early if you don't want to pay to park. The area the venue is in also felt safe. It is near The Pearl. I definitely go to a show here again. I was very pleased.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere! The staff are super nice and the food was great! I ordered a burger and it came out super fast. Great prices and super good quality food! This place is perfect for a music lover looking for a quick bite to eat.

The food was awesome. I had the mushroom & swiss burger & it was enough for 2 meals with the deep fried pickles, which they deep fried properly cut into spears not slices. I look for the best burger joint in every city I visit & I will admit that San Antonio has more burger joints than I can taste in one visit, but Sam's Burger Joint is top notch & I will be eating here on my next visit.

The staff is super nice and the food is amazingggg!! We got the chicken tenders and the seasonal hatch green chile burger. The fries are super crispy and the sweet potato fries weren’t soggy. For the late night munchies definitely recommend.

Food was excellent;it was fresh and delicious. The place had a good vibe to match the music theme, good music too. Staff was decent, took too long to take my order when I was standing at the register. Overall excellent place to eat.

Eclectic spot! We had the original and cheddar/bacon burgers and they were pretty good. I recommend the fried mushrooms. It's a unique place; I'd like to catch a show there sometime. I recommend if your in the mood for a laid back atmosphere, a burger and a beer!
