Everything was tremendous from the food to the margaritas. The atmosphere the live mariachi music truly truly had a wonderful time. The service well, let's just say I won't be coming back because of the service. But I will definitely be coming back.

my beautiful wife and I visited our family for a second Thanksgiving...some of our family live in Universal City so they asked if we would like to go and eat here..I will say this,everything was good.The establishment even has mariachi players we paid them to play a song for us.it was geat...one more thing I must say,it's not Tex-mex,it's authentic Mexican food,so meaning it's made a little different but all in all it was tasty..blessings upon you all and I hope you all enjoy...😇😇😇

I've literally been going here for decades. I have to admit, sometimes the services sucks but the food is awesome, the atmosphere is great and the margaritas might just be the best in town. Update: service has improved tremendously since my last visit. Food and ambiance are still top notch!

Beautiful restaurant with great food. We went on a Tuesday evening so low crowds. The service was amazing. Our server was attentive and made sure our meal was made to perfection. I will be back for a birthday party or any special occasion again.

Great Atmosphere upon walking in. Nice walk Up Bar you can order some really good margaritas etc. The food was good, not great buy definitely worth a try Got Arrachera enchiladas, sauce was a little on the bland side needed a little spice but the meat was tender and really good. Also tried The Norteno tacos, pretty good, loved the crunch on the shells but needed a lil more somethin. Good service, salsa was a little weird tasting very deep and spicy almost like a base for asado. But I loved the old building, very Kool, bathrooms need help, no room in the men's at all. I recommend for a good date night restaurant Def worth the trip !! 😋😋😁😁😍🤩

Wonderful food. The place has a mariachi band, a photographer, and even a fountain. The food comes out fast. I recommend the tacos El pastor, and the poquito de todos. The margaritas are a must have. The top shelf tequila makes the difference. They have chips and salsa at the tables.

Revisited La Fogata after 10 years and it still did not disappoint! The salsa was smokey with a little bit of heat. The mole was phenomenal. The "gravy" was interesting. It's like a mild brown gravy with cummin. The margaritas were delicious. If you are visiting from out of town, definitely give it a try. 👍
