Service was completely amazing! This is the best place for sushi in San Antonio! The fusion is so futuristic, this is the restaurant to experience superior sushi and fusion cocktails. You must patron this establishment. They give you water in a frosted glass! I was today years old to receive a frosted glass with water in it! Visit this place, the staff was engaging and so fun to talk with. This is a must for a San Antonio downtown visit!
We got the California, strawberry, and cosimo rolls along with the vegetable noodles. The noodles were the best! Next time I'll get them with meat and a couple rolls.
The strawberry roll was great flavor, awesome combo of sweet and spice. The Cosimo roll was full of different flavors that perfectly complemented each other.
The service was awesome. Our waitress was a gal that insisted we get ice cream as we were there celebrating our anniversary. The red bean was Soo good!
There's lots to choose from and you won't be disappointed!
Food was good, service was slow. They have a gluten free menu and soy sauce so giving 4 stars instead of 3. Erica was trying to get our food and drinks to us faster but her staff were not very cooperative - mainly the chefs. Willing to go back again but hopefully the next time we won't have to wait so long to get simple sashimi. A lot of other orders from tables that arrived later than us were going out before ours.
Sushi Zushi was just down the block from the hotel I was staying at, location is great maybe a couple blocks down from the Alamo, and relatively near the Riverwalk. First of all, the service was great the waiter was very attentive (some might think a bit too much) but I'm not complaining he was great. I got the Delicato, my friend got the Bora Bora and you could taste the freshness of the roll, it was super yummy. I also got a "Joy Chelada' which given that I loooove micheladas I thought it was a safe choice among their expansive cocktail menu. However, their house mix tasted too fishy to me. It almost tasted like the soup in the pictures below, but with tomato. Anyway the experience and vibe of the place is very enjoyable and I will most definitely come back to Zushi in the future if I am around. Recommend.
4/13/22 Came here for dinner with my sister. Food was delicious, but service was slow. I think it’s due to the delivery service they have. We had the Bora Bora sushi, Philadelphia roll and fried rice. It was great sushi for being at the riverwalk and walking distance of our hotel. I would come again if I was in the area craving sushi.
It was our lucky day. We wanted sushi, found this place; just off of Riverwalk. Sushi was plated nicely and very palatable. It was a perfect amount for a party of 3. We didn't leave hungry. And for of who follow my reviews, you know I'm all about customer service and efficiency. So... the 4 star rating? a minor setback but I want to be as upfront without being heartless. Our server was friendly and even made a few suggestions. But our dessert took longer than expected to reach our table; it was 3 mochi ice cream bites. Again nicely presented but over 15-20 min to reach our table. I realized it started to get busy, and I was thinking maybe they wanted to thaw it slightly?
A little explanation would have been helpful; that would be my recommendation. However, if I ever come to Texas again and wanted to sushi, I would come back to Sushi Zushi.
Wonderful place The food was amazing! Thank you Mike for the great service! This will be our spot when we come back to San Antonio.
The food is good and the ambiance is nice. The windows on the north side of the building are frosted, helps with privacy from the busy street. The Cosimo roll is very good.
We have been to the Sushi Zushi at the domain location multiple times and was dissapointed at this location. We regularly order the Beef Sashimi. It normally is served on a large plate, like in the picture, and is filled with the beef sashimi. However, at this location, the beef sashimi only filled up a portion of the plate. This was dissapointing, only to find out the sause was also different, but it still tasted decent. The Tuna Tar Tar tasted nice and fresh, which has been reported Tasty. The other rolls were also quite delectable. Make sure to try asking for fresh wasabi! It was "finger licking good".
Sushi Zushi is a must stop on all of our visits to San Antonio. The fish is fresh and they create so many combinations you can't find elsewhere.
