Great Tex Mex on the riverwalk. Probably the best Tex Mex option on the Riverwalk. I highly recommend this restaurant. They also had a special menu option that consisted of Red Snapper that was extremely delicious. The chips and dips are not free, but worth the $2.00 we spent to eat it. Also, no refills on the salsa or the chips. Things are usually a bit different in Houston where this is always free and get replaced at no charge. The fajitas here are really good. It is often hard to find good beef fajitas but this place had really good beef. Only drawback is that this restaurant is at the end of the riverwalk where it is really quiet. For a while, I wasn’t sure if I was lost or not but we kept on walking and finally found it. It was worth the hunt.

Dropped in after doing the river walk, overall an exceptional experience. Staff was extremely helpful, making sure everyone knew what they were ordering. Clearly they know how to handle tourists. Food was perfect, especially for the price point. My only complaint, the drinks seemed to have been on the weaker side but they weren't overpriced either and they treated great so no real complaints here. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed myself here, and would definitely go back.

This is a real 5 star review. When your Daughter who is not especially a fan of it and orders 3 different people items off the menu the 4 times we ent,, there is a 5 star point. When my wife just wants to know how to make all of the dishes, that is a 5 star reason. When I am ordering a sweet potato and chicken dish and want more!! 5 stars. From the Fresh Chips and Homemade Salsa, to the Entrees… it was all so delicious! We have 4 very different palates, but the servers were all excellent and gave great recommendations. I would recommend this establishment to anyone! The Drinks!! Also yes… the Ole Fashion. Amazing.. Please know this is a wonderful atmosphere and amazing food..

Worth a trip!! The food is delicious. So much flavor in every bite. The parrillada for 4 could easily feed 8-10. The corn tortillas are AMAZING. The salsa you get with your chips is delicious. Next time we are in town we will definitely be back. (Second photo is how much was left after 6 ate until full!)

We had a wonderful dinner at Acenar. It has been one of the best Mexican restaurants we have been in. Food was great. And drinks were good. Service was attentive as well. We had the mini skewers to start followed by short rib tacos, crab tinga tacos, and the pork tenderloin. We loved the short rib tacos the most as it was very flavoursome. I actually forgot to take photos before they were devoured. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse and tres leches cake (see photos). I would recommend the tres leches between the two.

Unfortunately our experience wasn't very good. The host Abby was not very friendly, on the contrary she was rude and although we requested a table next to the water, she did not want to please us having three empty tables on that side, twenty minutes later the tables were still empty. As Florida tourists in Texas, I expected another type of treatment. The food saved the night because everything was delicious. Congratulations to the chef. The atmosphere was also great.

Went this weekend 9/23 with my family to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Food was very good drinks on point the atmosphere and the server Bob was very very nice. I loved that my family could be there self and have fun and the whole restaurant joined in to sing Happy Birthday when they brought out my daughters cake. My husband was surprised cause every restaurant we go to I always say it wasn't all that I could of done better this time I did not say that. I'm ready to go back.

This place has definitely gotten better with age. I remember having a good experience years ago and I returned recently to have an even better experience. Our waiter was so courteous and attentive, and the food is spectacular! So delicious!!! It's worth the drive and worth the parking situation, because the food is great!!
