Very good food, kind of expensive, but great for celebrations and special occasions. I enjoyed the filet. My friend had the very tender country fried ribeye. The salad was fresh. We enjoyed watching the steaks being cooked on the huge grill. Lots of big birthday parties on the Saturday night I went so it was PACKED with diners.

A San Antonio legend! The overall menu looks amazing, but I can also attest they can handle a large group! We enjoyed our set menu, and everything came out quickly and well made. The building is super cool, with tons of history, and the steak was awfully good.

Roxana our server was amazing. Had the best recommendations and knew the menu very well. Didn't steer us wrong with anything. Steak was cooked to perfection medium +, asked for some garlic butter which made it even more delicious. Will definitely be back.

I don’t know where to start from beginning to end everything was fantastic from the drinks to the food there was no disappointment they took care of us in a timely fashion and the food was brought out to us hot n ready to be devoured the rolls in my opinion are underrated they were amazing and I got the ribeye steak and twice baked potato everything was fantastic I’m super stuffed and can’t force another bite if I wanted I also stepped up to the 2 drink challenge and I’m halfway through thoroughly understanding why it’s a 2 drink max on this one I got a bit of history from the manager Eric who gave us some background on the restaurant and also blessed us with some of the most amazing house steak sauce to take home I’ve had to this day to say the least I was very impressed from beginning to end with this restaurant and would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great environment to enjoy a feast with the family or even a friend thank you for making my experience special I’ll def be back

I still went 5 stars because the food was great and the service was also above par. My concern was the atmosphere. When making my reservations for a mildly romantic date night with my wife they gave me several options for what room I'd like to eat in. Main dining and Egg Room were at least two options (there was at least one more though) and not seeing an explanation I choose main dining. I'd now say this room is not for date nights. This is a room much like you'd expect at any BBQ joint with the red checkered table cloths which is fine if that's what you're going for but they should definitely explain which room is which. I'd feel better about spending $150 on a meal if it wasn't in that room.

The cleanliness of this place is amazing. I even saw a server changing gloves to avoid cross contamination, which I never see in other places. Service was also wonderful! The food was good. I did have to add some salt to my food, but I think it's better to have less than have too much. This would be a plus to some people watching their salt intake. Food was a tad on the pricey side, but I don't mind if the employees are paid fairly. Cheesecake with strawberries was great!

This restaurant does real well at handling large parties. I was invited to attend a holiday office party last week, 12/5, and the restaurant, it's staff and kitchen did a great job getting the food out, served hot and handling drink refills, etc.. I believe we had about 50 people at the party. To eat, I had the 10oz ribeye, salad, and bake potatoe. The meat was served with a pink center, just how I like it. The salad had preset dressing choices (ranch, vinegarette, etc.), and the normal toppings accompanied the bake potatoes. While meat prices have gone up, I hope you'll consider visiting this place. They try hard to please, are locally owned, and I hope your experiences are as good as mine have been.

Had a great experience before the dinner rush. The rolls were warm, soft, and tasted fantastic to start. The 10 oz New York Strip was tender, juicy, and great taste and texture. Mac and cheese was a delicious complement as a side. Top 5 steaks I’ve had for sure. The tenderloin salad was good. So good that the salad wasn’t needed and should have got the steak instead. Waitress and service were excellent as well. Will definitely make another trip back.

Really good food and the staff is beyond amazing. JD was the best server, was engaging, made suggestions, and has a very positive attitude.

Flavor: B Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: A I've driven by this place many times and finally decided to try it. Beware... it's popular. There's even a wait if you think you're beating the crowd by going at 5:00. The ceasar salad was excellent. A lot of steakhouse-type restaurants serve lame salads but not here. I got the chicken-fried ribeye and liked it. A tender great cut of meat that was flavorful and perfectly battered. The gravy wasn't my favorite (it's cream gravy but not white sawmill gravy I was expecting) but it was still good. The homemade yeast rolls (or if they're not homemade I was fooled) are delicious. The lackluster part of my meal was the twice-baked potato. It's about $4 extra and not worth a nickel. Mine looked like it was accidentally baked four or five times. And the filling was nothing special - not creamy, not flavored, just covered in a boatload of cheese with some imitation-tasting bacon bits. I waited on a refill for quite a while and didn't see my server often but I understand that these are tough times. I had a good enough experience to go back but am hoping it's better next time!
