Best homemade baklava I have had in the US. Great selection of spices and dried/canned goods. Staff were very friendly.
They have home-made Baklava. Enough said!! The Baklava is seriously one of the best I've ever had and I will make stops here frequently just to get some. The rest of the store is reasonably priced and offered a large variety of different spices, ingredients, and supplies for cooking. The owner's are very sweet and welcoming each time you walk in.
I’m absolutely obsessed with this Bakery! I tried it for the first time today and discovered that It has by far some of my favorite deserts EVER! I live a bit far away but I plan to come back frequently, It is just to delicious not to. The deserts are worth every penny and the long drive out. The lady that was working in the store was kind and super friendly. Can’t wait to go back!
The baklava is so good we couldn’t wait to try them! We called about an order and could pick up whole sheet in 30 minutes!! They were so kind and accommodating for our short window of time!
Super friendly. The bread is absolutely the best bread in town and its baked fresh every single morning- There is not a place in salt lake in comparison when it comes to these guys and the baked goods offered- baklava is fantastic as well! Great selection of spices and super cute tea sets and kettles. I highly recommend this bakery and grocery store!
The worker cashier was kind we had a nice little conversation and when I asked him one of the items I wanted wasn't there, he said he will look into getting it into the store which was really sweet of him. Although the products were kind of pricey, I enjoyed eating the sweets.
Dropped by for some baklava and was not disappointed! We went with he pistachio and it was SO good, fresh and flavorful! We will be back to try other bakery treats.
Stopped in the other day to try their baklava and bird's nests. Wonderful! Really a great place to get your Middle Eastern pastry fix satisfied. I look forward to exploring their other grocery offerings, too.
First, I'm going to agree with everyone who says the baklava is delicious. It truly is amazing and there are several variations to try. The store is fairly small but it's packed with many ethnic food choices that would be hard to find in a normal grocery store (there are also several things that you WOULD find at a normal grocery store, like tahini, which make this a good one stop shop if you are making a middle eastern recipe).
The lady who we spoke with (I believe she is the owner) was very friendly and had a good sense of humor - a real pleasure to speak with. She makes all the baklava in house on a daily basis. The flat bread is made daily in house, as well and I assume she does that, too (although it could be another employee). At any rate, she was very helpful and if it's your first time in, she'll give you any recommendations you may be looking for.
The sign out front says they do pizza here, too. I'll have to come by another time and try that...
New location is larger space, so they have even greater selection of groceries. Excellent for nuts and dried fruit, really good prices. All the pastries fresh made there. Yes, best baklava I've ever had.
