f you love Mexican food but have never had Chunga's Tacos Al Pastor, you need to get here NOW. The prices for everything on the menu are great, the ingredients are fresh and tasty, the atmosphere is authentic, and I am so glad they opened this second location - now I can get here from work much quicker than location #1!
Just as good as the first! The parking situation is also slightly improved, but it’s worth the extra care in the parking lot
Out of this world customer service! The gentleman with the security hat who was working the front was exception really out of this world with the service and managing the traffic.
Ample parking in the back and the food was so great.
The chips were especially awesome the different sauces 4 different ones and great guacamole impressed me.
The quesadillas were great as well. The grape soda drink wasn’t awesome I think it was less mainstream.
The location is the perfect hole in the wall. You are there for the food and the service. The Al Pastor tacos are out of the world. We got the 20 tacos for 20$ perfect amount for 2 to 3 people. I love the actual pieces of pineapple in the tacos. Make sure you use the sauce that comes with them it adds so much,
Great Mexican food! We tried a few different dishes and the service was great! The tacos were delicious and the right size for dinner with the beans and rice. The burritos are huge!
Sooo happy Chungas has opened another location. This place is so good. I think they have the best Al Pastor in the state, hands down!
Their Al Pastor burrito smothered in green sauce is my go to. Their nachos though are way good as are their tacos and quesadillas.
If you haven’t tried this place, give it a try. Very authentic, delicious Mexican food.
Got the 20 mini Al pastor tacos and they’re DELICIOUS! I like the hot sauce they provided, too. Will definitely be ordering this again. Thanks!
the best meal i’ve had in a while. great fast service, clean inside and bathroom. cannot recommended this place enough. 12/10
i got the taco combo and a churro. these pictures were taken 12 minutes apart. barely breathed was too busy eating. so. good.
Delicious, clean, and friendly. This is one of the gems in Salt Lake City. Authentic Mexican Food, this restaurant serves, the Famous "Taco al Pastor" seasoned pork meat like no other, their burritos, huaraches, pambazos, gorditas, tacos and all other food is made just like it would be in Mexico City. Their chipotle salsa is one of the best I have tasted. You cant go wrong coming to this restaurant, their waitresses and servers are friendly and willing to make sure you have a great experience. I love that the have the playing traditional music that makes you feel like you are dining in a restaurant in el Zocalo, or near Tepito. Prices are very affordable, and if you show the picture of the card you get your first meal for only $6.00 dlls. Go experience the real Mexican taste of "Chungas"
Great place to get a quick bite. You can dine in or take out like I did. The enchiladas were tasty and they are conveniently located near the Hampton Inn where I'm staying.
I only give them 4 stars because I have yet to find the flavor I grew up with in Northern Mexico. But I will say that even though the expected flavor wasn't there, their tacos were yummy 😋. I would recommend them. Also, the service was great. I'll go back and try some of their other stuff.
I liked the food. Had plenty of parking. Kinda pricey, considering the building and dining in but eating from to go containers. Couldn’t have asked for a more appreciative cashier.
